INTRODUCTION
Hey Y'all, welcome back to Winged Reviews! During the spring I had the chance to travel with Turkish Airlines on their 787-9 going from Istanbul International Airport to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. We had a 45 minute layover in Istanbul before traveling to Dallas. Feel free to check out my other reviews from this trip!

- 4TK 191 - Economy - Istanbul → Dallas - Boeing 787-9

A representative from Turkish Airlines met us at the gate where we arrived from Dubai. He gathered everybody connecting to Dallas (it was about 4 groups including us), and took us along the upstairs of the airport to a little security checkpoint. We had to throw out all of our water bottles from the flight, he then led us down an elevator and to our gate where they rechecked our boarding pass and passport, they also swabbed us down and put it in a machine. We were the last group to board.
BOARDING
The economy was in the standard 3-3-3 and it was a pretty new cabin. When I got to my seat there was a pair of headphones, a pillow, a blanket, and an amenity kit. The seat a 3 pocket seat back pocket, I was able to stuff everything in there while I got seated and set for push back. The tray table was a full table that slides in and out. The leg room was also not to bad.

The blanket was actually pretty comfortable and a good size.

I was surprised on how good this screen was, it was pretty high quality and very responsive. One thing that was a little weird was the little camera above the screen.

TAXI/TAKEOFF
We pushed back on time and had a short taxi to the active. There was not to many planes out and about today.

AMENITY KIT
There are an only a few airlines that offer amenity kits in economy class and Turkish airlines is one of them. Inside the kit was a pair of socks, eye mask, a toothbrush and toothpaste, earplugs and a small tube of chapstick.

MEAL SERVICE
Shortly after takeoff the crew came around gave out the menus. We had an option of meatballs or rigatoni along with a choice of drink.

This meal was one of the worst I have had on Turkish Airlines. The meat was very dry and flavor less. The rice and cake was the only good thing about this meal.

Lavatory
I went to the front lavatory and it was very nice. It had a selection of hand lotion, hand soap, cologne, and a sent dispenser. It was clean and well taken care of.

INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
The inflight entertainment was very good on this flight. The screen was very big and it was very responsive. There was a wide selection of Movies, TV-shows, games, and music. It also had a very good inflight map and info about the flight. Another thing I liked was the inflight cameras which showed some great views.

WI-FI
Wi-Fi was offered on this flight but at a steep cost. 35 USD is a very high price for unlimited WiFi.

One thing I noticed is that a lot of people were out of their seats during this flight. They were walking around and hanging out in the galley. At one point the flight attendants started kicking people out of the galley because their was to man people. I normally do not see this many people walking around during flights But I can’t really blame them because this 13 hour flight was pretty long even for me.

PRE-LANDING MEAL
Before landing they served fried eggplants with tomato sauce. I did not really like this meal either. The bread was really good though.

LANDING
The weather at DFW was cold and rainy. We busted out of the clouds very low and came in for a great landing!

On our was to customs we got a great view of the British Airways A380. I cannot was to fly on the A380 in the upcoming summer!
