Our flight back to Singapore will be flown like most of the people in the world, in economy class. I'll be reviewing Lufthansa economy class, an airline I wanted to try for some time.
I will not be reviewing BA1369 LHR-EDI since we received no service due to the catering truck failing to reach the plane on time before departure from LHR.

In order to get to Glasgow Airport, we took the Glasgow Airport Express bus, which was an obvious tourist trap, costing GBP10.50. It was the only viable option.
Before flight: Glasgow Airport
Glasgow airport is a small airport. Both the arrivals and check-in desks are on the same level.
The highlight of the airport is definitely the Emirates A380 that flies in daily from Dubai.
There is an adequate number of shops and food options for the number of passengers flying.

We sat around our gate area.

I spotted the Icelandair B737 MAX 9, which flies to Washington. I can't imagine flying long haul on a narrowbody aircraft. I have been spoilt in Southeast Asia where short flights are mostly flown by widebodies.

Our inbound aircraft was an A320. D-AIWF was slightly late.

Inflight experience
We boarded the aircraft soon after and the legroom is pretty bad, standard on European airlines. The seat reminded me of a park bench, lacking much cushioning. I am 1.77m tall and my knees touched the seat in front of me after I leaned slightly back.

The seating arrangement is a standard 3-3, both for business and economy class. Typical of European airlines, 'Business class' was just economy class seating with the middle seat empty.
The flight was 95% full that afternoon.

Once the plane reached cruising altitude, basic service began.
Everybody got a free bottle of still water and at least 1 chocolate. My wife and I greedily grabbed 2 each to get our ticket's worth.
It seemed to only be a couple of years ago when Lufthansa still offered a small snack, seen on this website and vlogs on Youtube.

Cabin crew began buy-on-board service after handing out the chocolate and bottle of water.
The skies were generally clear that afternoon.

We landed in Frankfurt and stopped at a remote gate. All the passengers squeezed into 2 buses.

I agree with the point you made that LH short-haul felt like an LCC. Come on, I think even here in the US, airlines like DL give you more on a similar flight.
