Hi,
Being on transfer I visited the huge BA Galleries South Lounge at pier A of Terminal 5. The entrance looks nice and inviting with some airplane models:

The lounge was rather crowded at the beginning but it was still easy to find some nice seats. The lounge in general provides a cosy atmosphere with many different zones and styles of interior - however it is rather dark in many areas.

Some views on the food buffet which offered a basic choice of dinner options without something special.

The nice looking bar and coffee corners:

I found a rather quiet seat with some views outside.

Here my selection for dinner:

Boarding would take place from pier B - on the way there I had some great views of waiting BA widebodies in the evening sun soon departing to around the globe. LHR has a really fascinating cosmopolitan flair.

Some views on the A320 taking me to Munich this evening.

Boarding started on time and I took my comfortable window seat in a very full Club Europe Business Class cabin spreading over 7 rows tonight.

We pushed back with some delay and joined the queue for departure at busy LHR.

We departed into nice sunset skies and started our journey of ca. 1 hour 30 minutes.

Some views of the cozy cabin.

Soon a light cold dinner meal was served - there was a choice of vegetarian dish and a salmon avocado tartare which I decided to go for. The whole meal tasted nice.

It was accompanied by some drinks and later on a cup of coffee. The friendly crew was chatty and frequently offered refills.

We soon landed at Munich Airport and passed some holiday planes, e.g. Condor with its nice striped new livery while we taxied to Terminal 1.

FlyAlex
Interesting to compare this BA Club Europe LHR-MUC with the LH Business MUC-LHR! In general, I think BA may be slightly better with more consistent cabins (all of which have power outlets and USB ports, compared to a total craps shoot on LH with so few LH narrowbodies having in-seat power), and the BA seats have better padding (though less legroom on average than the LH NEK cabins...maybe not the newer Geven cabins, which have similar density as BA's configurations). Both LH and BA having cold meals on this route, looks like LH did better with a bit larger meal. The lounge food offerings seems about the same, though LH might be a bit better. As a BA flyer, personally I appreciate BA's consistency. I know I don't really have to wonder what kind of cabin I'll get on a narrowbody as they're all the same, except for a handful of the newest NEO deliveries which have even better cabins with USB-C power (yay!).
Thanks for sharing!
