Review of Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Munich in Economy

Hello everyone. Welcome to the return flight from Doha to Munich. After arriving from Hong Kong, the shuttle bus took us to the concourse A of the terminal, once we stepped in the building, I immediately went through again the security control. Then I found out from the FAID that our flight to Munich was assigned at C41. I had to take a people mover to the other end of the terminal. By the time I arrived at the boarding gate, the boarding process started immediately.

As expected, there was no direct boarding via the air bridge. A shuttle bus then took us to the remote bay 631, which was very close to the parking location of my previous flight. Our flight to Munich would be handled by Qatar Airways A350-900XWB, A7-BHM, delivered in September 2023. The plane was less than one year old.

At the end of boarding, there were two German ladies sitting next to me. While we were waiting for pushback, I started watching the movie: The Lost City. Then at 1:50am, our captain announced that the flight time would be 5 hours and 20 minutes, and we expected good weather for the flight.

At 1:56am, safety video was played and pushback was started 3 minutes later.

While we were taxing to the runway, the cabin was illuminated with mood-lighting for takeoff.

At 2:14am, we took off from runway 34L.

Soon after takeoff I immediately fell asleep for around two hours and woke up at 4:10am. Peeping out of the window, I saw the first ray of sun.

I checked beforehand on the menu that there should be a Sandwich service, but clearly I missed that.

I then switched on the flight map and I knew that we were flying now over Türkiye.

I continued with the movie but in about 20 minutes later, I fell asleep again. However, I could only sleep for 40 minutes. By the time I woke up, we were flying towards the northern coast of Türkiye.

There were a lot of clouds when we were flying through Romania, I could not see the landscape below.

As we passed through Bucharest, I noticed that the breakfast service had started.

At 6:10am, I received my breakfast, I opted for the Spanish Tortilla option. For the drink, I took the mango juice.

about 20 minutes later I finished the movie, but I decided not to watch another one. Instead, I just enjoy the morning scenery outside. Soon we were passing through the Lake Balaton.

I requested a cup of coffee, by the time when the crew came back to collect my tray.

At 6:55am, announcement from the cockpit that we had started the descend and would be landing in 45 minutes. Temperature in Munich was 8 degrees Celsius.

At 6:28am local time, we landed on runway 26L in Munich Airport. Total flight time was 5 hours and 14 minutes. The landing was pretty hard and my neighbor and me exchanged a smile…

We parked at terminal 1 of the airport.
