Here I am, arrived with my 717 to DTW, and given the time, 09:15p, the terminal was almost deserted. Some view of the train that links both ends of the concourse:
I arrived to my boarding gate shortly before boarding starts. That's my plane, sorry for the bad quality of the picture: :
Then I am called to the podium, I'll be upgraded to First for the last leg of the day. That did not come as a surprise to me, I knew that all booking classes were wide open. What came as I surprise was that we were only 25 pax, and 5 in First Class. That's the first time I see First Class not checked in full. There were as well some company personnal, that were not upgraded. In France, they would have been the first to get the upgrade :)
Boarding is on time, and here is the cabin of this former NWA A319 bird. The interior is exactly the same as it used to be, only the seats have been covered with this ugly fake leather.
Limited seat recline and poor leg room for a F/class seat:
Pre-take-off drink : (bac &coke as almost usual)
My seat mate will take a bloody mary and is telling me: I hope it's not only coke, I'll answer half laughing: Don't tell me you drink plain tomato juice. We are going to chat about how alcool can help the last day of a business week when flying back home ;)
Nothing to say about the short hop in general, apart that we were given peanuts! In the meantime, it's First ;)
Coach class has absolutely no service, you can ask for water, but this is on request only.
Thank you for this new report, cabin looks indeed very tired, hope their 319/320 fleet will get refurbished soon.
