Hi,
After great days on the beautiful island of Sylt it was time to head back home. Sylt Airport is very small and cozy as you can see from those outside pictures.

Inside there is a small Check In hall - however it also came with a dedicated priority lane (although there was almost nobody waiting anyway).

Airside there is only a small and boring waiting hall with a drinks machine, but no shop or bar etc.
Luckily this small airport even offers a Lounge called 'Sylt Lounge'. Lufthansa premium passengers get free access here as well.

Inside the lounge was very empty but offers plenty of seating and a small but rather limited buffet with some drinks and packed snacks like biscuits.

My small selection.

Boarding started on time via the apron.

A friendly crew welcomed me and I took my window seat in row 2.

Soon boarding came to an end and I was offered a small bottle of welcome water.

We took off into dark skies and started our flight across Germany taking 1 hour 10 minutes.
Soon the very friendly purser laid down paper table clothes and asked for drink choices first. She then directly served those from the galley without a trolley.

Next a small cold dinner with warm bread rolls was offered. It was very tasty and perfect for this rather late small dinner.

Drink refills were available all time and I ordered a cup of coffee.
At this time the purser also offered small chocolates out of a nice box to Business Class. This part of the service actually recently replaced the former apple service that you might still remember from previous Lufthansa short haul and medium haul services

Soon we descended and landed on time at Munich.

Thank you very much for your FR. I will consider this destination, GWT or Sylt Island.
I had never heard or read about it, you might be the very first one to report that airport.
I'm actually surprised to see Lufthansa serving such an extensive J Class meal on this short hop to a holiday destination.
