Introduction

Welcome to another trip report! Today I'll be flying on my second of three legs where I started in Comayagua, Honduras heading to Salt Lake City, Utah. This trip report will cover my Miami to Phoenix segment.
Here's a look at the complete great circle map (6,304 miles to be exact) of my round trip to Honduras:

While I was waiting for my next flight in Miami, I got a notification that my original flight from MIA to PHX was cancelled due to weather. I was then put on standby for the next flight which departed an hour later. This next flight was completely full and I was sure that I was going to get one of the left over middle seats for this almost 5 hour flight. However, when my name was called to the podium to my delight I was given seat 13A a window seat! I was unprepared to cover this trip report (hence the lack of boarding, plane & gate footage) which I do apologize for not having. But this was a new route and aircraft type I was flying on so I had to muster up some content for you guys ;).
This was my view from my seat.

inflight service

About 45 minutes into flight the inflight service began. This is a typical fare you'd get on every North American AA flight in economy. A choice of soft drink and and snack.

I appreciate that at least AA gives you a whole can :)

About 2.5hrs into flight we reached the coast of Texas.

It got cloudy as we were flying over Texas.

While there wasn't much to see outside I decided to explore the inflight entertainment and see what AA had to offer.

Eventuality everyone closed their window blinds and the cabin went dark.

With a little over an hour left in flight we were flying over New Mexico.

Last bit of sun light before it got completely dark.

This concludes the trip report! From here I'll be walking a few gates over to catch my flight to Salt Lake City. Unfortunately my camera had died and I wasn't able to document that last leg of the trip. Thanks for reading :)

Conclusion

This was a typical domestic flight in economy on AA, not really much I can say. The crew on this flight were a little more upbeat than the crew from my previous flight from XPL to MIA. I've learned that when flying AA the crew onboard can be a hit or a miss. It was disappointing that during this almost 5 hour flight there was only one drink & snack service provided. You'd think that on a flight of this length you'd get at least a pre arrival water service as I got on my SLC-MIA flight which was a 4.5 hr flight, but not even that. Other then that this was a good and comfortable flight.

Definitely, though more so in Y--generally more consistent up front.

It was disappointing that during this almost 5 hour flight there was only one drink & snack service provided.

Only one drink service on a 4.5h flight is pretty bad. From my experience, on similar length LAX-DCA they've been doing 2 drink services since late 2021 or so, maybe they forgot on this flight lol

    Thanks for sharing!
