Introduction
This is a return flight trip report is from Jan 2023. Having spent New Year in Tasmania, it was time to return back to Sydney.

Pre-Departure
I had checked in for this flight day earlier.
Checked Flightradar24 for incoming flight details. Hobart has most flights to Melbourne and Only international destination is New Zealand. Aircraft operating Sydney flight would be arriving on time.
Arriving at Airport
I checked out from motel and then picked some bakery food in Hobart.
Chicken pie
Cake and other sweets.
Filled tank before reaching airport. Reached the Rental car parking, cleared items from the car. Walked to the Terminal building which is nearby. Returned the key in dropbox.
Check-In
Check-in for this flight was through self check kiosk.
I entered the details and got boarding pass and baggage tag.
Dropped bag at the check-in counter and was now free to walk about.

Baggage claim area for arriving passengers.
Check-in was in progress for the flight. Decided to complete security and sit in waiting area to have food.
Security
Check-in queue was short, was out in the waiting area soon.
Departure Waiting area
Passengers of 3 flight filled the waiting area. Found a seat to have food while viewing the outside activities.

Virgin Australia and Qantas on tarmac.
Within few minutes, VA to Melbourne pushed back.

Jetstar Airways JQ721 arrived from Sydney.
Boarding
Boarding for the flight started on time. As I was close to the gate, followed signs to the boarding area.

Queue formed to board
I joined queue and had the boarding pass scanned.
Exited the terminal and walked towards the parked aircraft. As I was seated in the rear section entered aircraft from the rear stairs.
Onboard
On entering the aircraft, was greeted by crew and boarding pass was checked. Was directed to seat. Found my seat, placed my handbag in the overhead storage and sat in the window seat.
As boarding was in progress, watched outside the window.

Pushback and Taxi
Boarding completed on time, Crew closed the overhead storage.
Jetstar arrives as JQ720 is pushed back.
Crew performed safety demonstration as the aircraft pushback and taxi started.
Aircraft would be departing from Runway 12.

Aircraft performed a 180 degree turn to line up for departure.

Flying North after reaching cruising altitude.

Inflight Service and Entertainment
Flying over the Tasman coastline as Inflight service commenced. Inflight Buy on Board was available for those wishing to purchase.

Window shade down and leather seat
After about 20 minutes of flying over Tasman sea, flew passed the Victoria coastline.
Continuing North, Flew over Canberra, which was hidden under the clouds.
Arrival
Pilot announced aircraft would be arriving on time. Crew informed to prepare cabin for landing.
Flying over North West Sydney
Aircraft approached from North to land on runway 16R.
Qantas Airbus A380 taxies, landing was smooth.
Exiting the runway
Passengers seated as aircraft taxies to gate.
Delayed Disembarkation
It was a windy day in Sydney, due to high winds. Disembarkation would be through the forward door. A few minutes delay was announced to unload the bag and balance the weight.
Bag unloading in progress. It started to rain heavy as the bags were removed.
Passengers were allowed to disembark from the front door.

While disembarking, thanked the crew and entered the terminal building.

Exiting Airport
Collected bag and walked to the long term parking bus stop. Waited for the bus to take to the car park to pick vehicle and head home.
