Hi there, thanks for sharing your first review here with us and welcome! It's nice to see an Air Baltic report on the A220 that's actually flying for Air Baltic. It feels like they've leased them all out to the Lufthansa group lately with so many operating for Eurowings, Swiss and others. I know they haven't leased them all out to LH Group, it just looks that way from so many reports on those carriers on BT A220s, haha. It's also funny because BT ended up leasing a bunch of aircraft from other airlines themselves since they have so many A220s out of their operation. I guess the post-pandemic travel boom was bigger than they expected! I imagine they're making more money from the A220s they're leasing to the LH Group than what they're spending to lease other a/c to cover their own operation--just a funny situation, but a good sign that travel is back with force!
The cabins do seem very nice and BT were pioneers in adopting a hybrid full-service/LCC model, which now seems to be the norm across most European full-service carriers.
Just a small suggestion, it's usually easier to read a review when the text is spread out throughout the report to tell the story of the experience rather than having all photos and videos grouped together.
I had no idea Baltic flew to Iceland, that's a cool route! Looking forward to that report and more in the future.
Thanks again for sharing and welcome to Flight-Report!
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try to do it next time. :)
Hello!
Was this your first report? I'm sorry I didn't say "Welcome" earlier! Well... welcome! :D
These small aircraft are my favorite. It feels like flying on a mosquito! And those small overhead monitors are so cute!
At the beginning of the first video they announce that the flight will take about 35 minutes. Is surface travel between the Baltic republics particularly difficult? I'm not sure what Greta Thunberg would say about such a short flight!
Oh! And I can hear that it's /ˈbɔːl tɪk/. Haha. I used to say /ˈbʌl tɪk/. I improved my English thanks to your video. :)
Thanks for sharing!!
Hello!
It is okay you did not say Welcome earlier. :)
Same here A220 is my favorite and I'm glad to hear you improved your English through my video.
Have a good one!
