I arrived at the Airport at 9:00am.

Lufthansa check-in counters

There are more than enough check-in machines in the departure hall.

I completed the online check-in the day before and stored the boarding pass in the phone. Same as the previous flight, i was booked with Eco Light fare. Luckily I could manage to get a window seat during check-in.

The gate for our flight was not announced yet.

so I went to Starbucks for breakfast.

Boarding time was approaching and to my surprise there were so many people queuing in front of the security check and at the end it took me more than 20 minutes to pass through.
Turkish Airlines A330-300, TC-JNZ to Istanbul as TK1722 at 11:05am.

Lufthansa A321neo, D-AIEC to Frankfurt as LH183

And here was our plane, D-AIDN, A321-200 with the name "Neumünster". This picture is best illustrated the size difference of the engine between the A321neo and A321ceo. The plane was delivered to Lufthansa in December 2011.

I arrived at the gate B21 about 10 minutes before the scheduled boarding time. B21 gate was located at the end of the terminal.

Our flight was also codeshared with TAP Air Portugal TP7729 and Thai Airways TG7845. As we could see in the monitor, the boarding sequence began from group 3 which was the window seats, and then followed by the middle seats and aisle seats respectively.

Boarding was started at 10:34am.

As I reached my seat, the middle and aisle seats were already occupied by a couple with a baby, so i did not take any photo of my seat.

View from my seat. Next to us parked an Eurowings A320-200, D-AEWI, which is stationed in Düsseldorf.

Cabin during boarding.

Boarding was completed at 10:48am and 10 minutes later pushback was commenced. The flight time as announced would be 55minutes.

Entering the runway for departure.

We lifted off at from RWY25R at 11:08am.

Seconds after takeoff.

Not long after that we flew into the cloud. A few minutes later, FlyNet was available.

10 minutes after takeoff, seatbelt sign was off and soon I received my bottle of water and the Lufthansa Chocolate.

After that I visited the lavatory.

Cabin view. As observed, the loading was roughly 60%.

The aft galley

At 11:41am, announcement from cockpit that we had commenced our descend into Munich airport.

Hi NGD16!
You live, you learn! I had no idea there was such difference. And it's considerable! I like those big engines. They're like the biceps of a plane, hahah
The waiting time at security check definitely has to be improved. I don't remember queing that long, even for international flights!
Thanks for sharing!
