A NATURAL RESERVE
Welcome to this episode and last island before the big and sad return. We stayed on Fakarava, which is a Unesco biosphere reserve.
The dive was just amazing, we saw a lot more wildlife than in Rangiroa. I have a connection problem with my old GoPro, for now and in the absence of my diving photos, here is what divers can expect at only 10-15m…
Drone Report

More views of the beach.

The Havaiki lodge, with the famous sleeping shark beach, where there are actually quite large sharks that sail around while sleeping.

The island church

We hired electric bikes - super handy especially since the island is absolutely flat.

Hotel bonus from our somewhat modest guesthouse…

Good to know: the limit is 23kg but you are allowed 5kg more if you have a diving licence

Luggages are arriving quickly

Last walk in Papeete

We stayed at the Tahiti Nui Hotel, a 3-star establishment but which is not really up to par, the rooms were comfortable but the air conditioning did not work and the staff was average… In short, not the best value for money.

Hey Chris, beautiful photos once again. And love the drone views.
Love discovery all these beautiful islands I was not familiar with! Wow, it seems you've flown every route in the Air Tahiti network haha...except maybe the Cook Islands 🤣
Thanks so much for this little escape to tropical paradise!
Hi mate, thanks for the comment!
Yes I was doing some drone report too lol
not quite, the network is massive, the whole french polynesia is as large as europe, but this is the last time I spammed everyone with my air tahiti flights eheh
