After a short connection in Dubai, It's now time for the last flight of the day! This is a short hop over to Muscat, Oman using Oman Air. This will be my first time flying this unique and well-regarded airline so I'm excited to see what it is all about!
Thanks for coming on board!
CAI-DXB
As this flight departed at 3am local time, I decided to sleep instead of paying attention for a flight review. :)
Trasnfer/Airside
Transferring at DXB is super simple. I stayed inside the same terminal and after a quick security screening I was back at the boarding gates with plenty of time to spare. I really appreciate that DXB is set up in a while that allows for easy connections within the same airline or airline alliance.

Seat
Fantastic seat! Wow! One of the best I have ever experienced, regardless of airline or aircraft! I could easily deal with this seat for 6-8 hours. It's so unique that I was able to experience it for such a short flight as usually you get a more padded version of economy or a economy seat (looking at you, European airlines). The seat was very comfy and classy. The pictures that I took do not do it justice at all, so I failed on that account!

IFE
Massive screen! Largest selection I have ever seen! They had complete movie series such as Mission Impossible, Jurassic Park and World as well as Fantastic Beasts. Much to my amazement they even had old black and white films such as Casablanca. With this short of flight, I just watched the moving map.

Food/Drink
Before takeoff a choice of Orange Juice or Lemon Mint was offered. I took the Lemon Mint, and it was fantastic. I am a sucker for anything Lemon and this did not disappoint. A menu was also handed out. For a flight less than 40 minutes, the options for a meal were fantastic and honestly overkill. However, that is what makes a good flight a great flight and Oman Air killed it on this flight!

A hot towel was given right before take off. The FA came by as well and took our meal order down by hand. This really helped speed things up once in the air. The tray table was super large, at least 2x as big as most airlines.

Fantastic meal! Everything was great! I chose Karak Tea for my drink as it is one of the most popular in Oman and it was amazing!
Thank you for sharing this brief look at the WY MAX 8. Their cabins are definitely one of the best narrow-body products that is not lie-flat and is more than sufficient for a lot of their short regional routes. The only criticism of these seats is the lack of underseat storage, which would be expected for recliners. The catering and presentation looks very nice for such a short flight. Since your final destination is Thailand, look forward to the WY B787 report next.
Storage is an issue and honestly that seems to be my biggest criticism of most hard products. Thats right! WY 787 is coming up :)
Awesome to see a report on WY, as those are pretty rare. Oman Air is really one of those hidden gems. They don't get nearly as much press as the ME3 next door, but in so many ways offer a better product without the overly done blinginess. That's really some exceptional catering for a super short 1h flight! Also I really like these new style recliner seats--they're a big improvement over traditional recliners.
Thanks for sharing!
