First flight on the embraer 195-E2
After a few days in Florianopolis visiting friends, it was time to connect in Campinas, head back to Rio and catch the Air France 777 back to Paris then finally back to Edinburgh.
Was really excited for my second flight on Azul as this would be my first E195-E2!
Despite the almost two hour delay, our E190-E2 rocked up to the gate: PS-AEH a one year old addition to the fleet.

Ground staff were really helpful and allocated me a seat nearer the front of the aircraft due to a shorter connection in Rio. Seat 2A.

I notice the cockpit door appears different than the standard E190s…

The flight was pretty full although the aisle seat next to me stayed empty. Soon boarding was completed and made our way to the active runway at VCP, RW33.

Cool engine sounds from the E2 as we takeoff and set course for GIG.

Nice that Azul have PTV's, free wifi as well as free snacks (crisps, cookies and jelly planes) and soft drinks; really impressive! (For some reason, I can't get those pictures to upload on here).
Flight time to GIG was 47 minutes, cruising at FL270.

Smooth touchdown at a rather quiet GIG airport.

Thanks for that report. Azul has the best on-time record in the world. The E2 are nice but the seat confort was better in the E1. Good to arrive directly in GIG for an international connection.
Hi KLM777300ER, thanks for sharing! Always fun to try out a new aircraft type. It's funny that your first E2 was on Azul and not KL.
It sure is...very good amenities for a large regional aircraft. Sorry about the issue with the pics--were they maybe too large over 4MB? What did the error message say? If you want, you can send me the pics and I can try to upload if they're under 4MB and it's still not working (Kevin@Flight-Report.com).
Thanks!
Thanks Kevin! I have been trying to catch the KLM E2 but not had the chance as yet (the only KL sub-fleet I haven't flown on yet)!
I'm sure the error message was 'not authorised'. I'll try reducing the size for my other reports.
Thanks for sharing this flight report! It’s good see AD keeping closely aligned with the B6 model with a very good hard and soft products. It’s very odd to see the seat back IFE on a ERJ, quite a distinguishing feature for a South/Central American carrier.
