This is my first report here. Had problems the first time loading up. So I'll try again.
Of all SQ a/c I like their A330 best for the Y class layout 2-4-2.
I normally don't fly SQ on my own personal expense for it's costly.
Since this is a work trip, I'm enjoying this opportunity.

Good IFE, but only accessible after a/c levels off. After crew is release from their seats.
Aghhh . . . why can't they switch it on ground like EK or QR.
Hot fluffy towel with SQ logo for Y pax.

Got the whole can and even 2 packets of peanuts.

Brunch was good. The western choice was out very fast. Anyways, the fish was spicy but very well done.
Was even offered a second offering by a senior FA.

SQ recently changed their protocol in terms of IFE turned on as early as boarding but only for long haul, I experienced it lately, much better ! I'm surprised that ICN is not considered long haul though ?
Of my many SQ flights, I never noted that the hot towel was embroidered with the SQ logo !

I'm no PPS and yet the Senior FAs were absolutely nice to me (and others).
No, I didn't ask for seconds. The FA just offered. Not very often we get SQ FAs going out of line from their strict manual.
Oh SQ did change their IFE procedure huh? Must try them. Anyways, Kris World still can't beat ICE.

Yes, the catering is good. I head the western choice was better.
On SQ - catered by SATS Catering from SIN - is a hit or miss.
However, go for the Asian dishes with lots of spices, curries, spicy sauces - it's a safe bet it'll be generally good.
No IFE, no eletronic gizmo during ascent and final descent are the only reasons why I always take newspapers, even though I use moste of that time taking pictures (I know, this is not allowed, but...). This is a comprehensive first FR, pleasant to read. For some other airlines, the comments on the crew would look fake, but this is SQ.

I don't fly as often as I would love like you, but will contribute as often as I'm up.
I have seen SQ crew are improving from the many complaints about them.
The junior ones still lack the confidence, but in general they are doing their best.

Lovely report and it's always nice to read about a great experience, especially with SQ. Along with TK, SQ provides one of the best meals in the back. The distribution of hot towels is already a very nice perk.
