Hi,
I had already received an email the same morning from Lufthansa that my flight would be delayed one hour in the evening and check in will be open that period longer in the evening. Thus I arrived at the check in counters when they were already very empty.

Security on the other side took very long as also no dedicated priority lane was findable.
Some views on the apron heading to the Air Canada Lounge.
The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge was in a nice and modern design , however very cramped during the first 30 minutes of my visit.

There is a bar section and also a nice buffet area.

I had some small snacks before this long evening flight.

In the end the lounge got much emptier and quiet.

Nice washroom as well.

Heading to my gate I passed some splendid looking longhaul widebodies.

Boarding was still further delayed but finally started onto our Airbus 350.

I took my window seat that was in a nice private box design.

Plenty of stowage areas and space around.

A view outside.

The amenity kit was nice however strange enough missed eye shades for a longhaul flight which I ordered separately from the cabin crew later in the flight.

A welcome drink was offered.

Followed by the printed menu.

We left our parking position and climbed out.

The views over the Rocky Mountains were great.

Aperitif service started ca. 40 minutes after take off.

Followed by the starter on a tray which tasted really nice.

The main dish steak was one of the best I ever had on a plane.

Ending my meal with cheese and dessert.

Lavatory:

I watched a movie and soon tried to get some sleep which unfortunately did not work that good because of some loud small children in the cabin and a the bed also beiong rather narrow. At least I did hard to find a comfortable sleeping position.

About 2 hours before landing we were over the North Seat and lights were turned on. Unfortunately no hot towels were provided.

Breakfast was soon served where I had the cold muesli option (other choice was a warm egg dish). It was tasty and fine for breakfast.

We crossed Germany and soon started descend into a very sunny Munich.

Landing was smooth and we docked at the satellite building of Terminal 2.

Hey thanks Alex you made it !!!! You just posted the very first report on a LH cabin that has no 20 years old design seat anymore ?.
I was awaiting a report on a Canadian destination of the company, all deserved by those A359 from MUC equipped with a new cabin from Philippines Airlines. So now we have the good LH service and finally a good hard product. On top you liked the food. Just a bit sad to hear that the seat is pretty narrow when in bed position. This is often the case in staggered cabins. But hey, need to try it myself before talking anymore about it. Hope you had a good time in Vancouver. This is a great city surrounded by a beautiful region. See you, Vincent
Thanks Alex for sharing!
Eventually a report with the "new" A350 LH cabin ex PR. Seems to be a great product, LH should be ashamed to have a better second hand product than it's own.
The catering looks really nice to me, kinda like it!
Hey, thanks for sharing your FR! Good to see that LH can still offer a good product - I watched a nonstop Dan video today which was very negative on LH. That seat does look comfortable and the food amazing!
