Hello and welcome to my 1st TR here:-)
I don't intend to write too much in this report as it is just a short regional trip to Taipei. The service was as usual top notch and I really have nothing to complain. I originally planned to be on a 744 on the outbound but sadly there was a last minute equipment change and I ended up with the 3-class B77W, dubbed internally as the 77G. I would be flying on B-KQC, which was delivered to CX on August 2012.
The actual flight was very smooth, with the plane leaving the gate 7 minutes early and arriving more than 15 minutes early. I was fortunate enough to be the only pax on J class while Y+ and Y was completely full. The meal was spotless, very nice for a 1 hour flight. And needless to say, the crew was very very very friendly and I have to say a big thank you to the captain for allowing a cockpit visit even when they were busy preparing for the return flight home.
Enough talking, so sit back, and please enjoy the photos.

It is nice to have more reports on flights to one of my favourite cities in the Far East. :)
You take very good pictures, but some comments on the various phases of the flight experience would have been welcome.
The schedule of this flight appears to be 10:35 - 12:15; please update, andd also reference the flight number as CX494, as is customary on this website.
European J flyers will be amazed by this catering on such a short flight (1H40 according to schedule, but routinely 1h18 actual duration).
I HATED the previous herringbone J seat layout of CX which faced away from the windows and the new one is much more attractive (a picture from higher up woud have been better).
Thanks again for this report and welcome among the contributors !
Thanks for sharing your first report on Flight-Report.com! Beautiful pictures! How nice to have had the J cabin to yourself. A few more comments about the flight experience to go along with the beautiful pics would be welcome. Especially a description of the catering which looks really good.
Welcome to Flight-Report!

ps, I added CX to the flight number for you
Last time I visited The Pier Lounge, it was before a red eye flight and it was kinda dark. So I wasn't able to enjoy the lounge during daylight. Too bad you didn't shoot more pictures from the lounge.
With the opening of the lounge The Bridge, The Pier lounge is being renovated.
Welcome among us and thank you for your first report.
Welcome and thanks for this first FR.
Nice service again by CX here.
Is it much more expensive to fly in J between HKG and TPE or not so much like on some intra asia flights?
re KL651
My flight this time was an upgrade as nobody would really use their money to buy a J ticket on such a short flight to TPE (and explains why J was completely empty:P) but yes it should be of the same price as all intra Asia flights

Welcome here, and thank you for your first report.
Pictures are really nice and I would say that you were lucky with the aircraft change because you would have ended up with old heringbone seat with the 747.
Catering is quite impressive for such a short flight.
Thank you and as other said do not hesitate to post comments between pictures.
Thanks for this first FR. Pictures are really nice !
Maybe iy would be better with more descriptions of the flight...?
Have a good time on this website !
Hi guys
Thank you all for your kind comments and feedbacks. I must apologize for the lack of detail in my report. I shall add more detail in my future reports. Regarding the departure time of CX494, it was scheduled for 10:30 in the W12 season but was changed in the S13 and W13 season.
Cheers,
Adrian
