Another extra early rise to catch the Air France A320 to Paris from Edinburgh. Hadn't visited Paris for a number of years and paid £110 return with Air France which is lower than the usual fare.
Arriving at 4am at EDI, I was met by a rather lengthy queue for check in; thankfully the Sky Priority lane wasn't as busy however looked like a full flight today. Presently, I notice that with both KL and AF departures from the UK, boarding passes are not issued on the app until after checking in at the airport - likely due to covid?
Spent some time in the Aspire lounge due to my FB Platinum status which wasn't too busy, plenty of seating options and fair variety of food for breakfast.
Not the best photo of our aircraft for the morning, F-HEPG which was delivered to Air France in 2013.

Seated in 7A today and despite the full flight, managed to secure a row to myself.

After a short 15/20 minute delay, we taxied out in typical Scottish weather, departing RW24 for Paris CDG.

Air France cabin crew were very friendly and helpful. Service on board consisted of tea, coffee, water or juice and a small biscuit - granted second helpings were offered later. Pre-covid, this was normally a crossant or pan au chocolat served on the early morning flight.

Cabin views:

Our A320 was fitted with wifi which included free whatsapp / facebook messenger which is a nice touch as well as moving map etc. Each seat had a USB charging port in the armrest.

Love to watch the sunrise whilst flying.

Some close ups of the AF 'hippocampe' on the sharklets.

After around 50 minutes of airtime, we began the descent towards CDG.

Approach followed by a smooth landing, still slightly ahead of schedule despite the initial delay.

Love that new sharklet “crevette” design, very sexy!
Hopefully the croissants and chocolatines will be back soon (I’m southern French, I could never bring myself to say the pain au chocolat haha)
Thanks for sharing!
