Introduction

This report is a 2011 trip. Continuing after arriving from Mumbai, To read trip report here:  SQ421 Mumbai - Singapore.
I had plenty of time to explore the airport and for planespotting.

Planespotting

After deboarding with a handbag to carry, Explored Terminal 2 while planespotting.

Silk Air, Air India Express and Lufthansa

Then to Terminal 1 with Jetstar, Air Asia and Myanmar International airlines in view

Terminal 1 had more variety. Found a comfortable sofa to relax and plane-spot while watching air-side activities. Afternoon thunderstorm as Srilankan Airbus A340 was pushbacked.

After enjoying good rest, Took Skytrain to  Terminal 3 to plane-spot. Singapore Airlines Airbus A380

Feeling hungry, I returned to Terminal 3 to have meal.

SQ231 would be departing from Terminal 3 Gate Lounge A. Reached gate area after meal and completed security check. Waited in the common seating area for boarding call.

Boarding call was made on time, Ground staff checked passport and scanned boarding pass. Handed the boarding pass stub and then allowed to continue boarding.

9V-SKB to operate SQ231 SIN-SYD.  3rd trip on same aircraft.

Occupied the assigned seat.

Pushback commenced on time. It was drizzling outside. Qantas A380 and B747 lineup to  departed before the SQ.

I fell asleep after food and woke in the morning. Sunrise in few minutes

Breakfast Service

Breakfast was served 2 hrs before arrival.

I had selected Lor mai kai - sticky rice with marinated chicken and black mushroom,

Crew cleared the trays as aircraft flew over NSW.

Arriving in Sydney

Captain came on speaker and announced descent would be commencing shortly. Crew conducted safety check and cleared cabin rubbish. Arrival approach would be from South landing on runway 34L

Immigration and quarantine

Immigration and Quarantine didn't take long as this flight arrives outside the morning peak. Bags took about 20 mins

Exiting Airport

After exiting the terminal, caught taxi from stand to reach home.
