flight on a LOT polish airlines dreamliner
After a relaxing few days in Miami, and a very nice discovery of the town, it was time to head back home.
Flying blue miles earned with this flight: 997
XP earned: 10
(In nowadays conversion of Mile-revenue based scheme)

Flight routing
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
- 5I7 Manaus - Willemstad
- 6
- 7UX - MIA - MAD
- 8UX
You can see below that even though some of the flights of the routing are missing, the price is very decent for
A) the lenght
B) the fact that it is an open jaw.

The flight was to be operated on a wet-leased Lot Polish Airlines B787-8 - at the time Air Europa didn't received its dreamliners yet and so found this way to enlarge its capacity where the dreamliner was later to be found so here is a cabin map of the lot aicraft.

We booked a really nice airbnb flat nearby miami beach - so of course I wanted to get there as much as possible.

Something happened with this person, that was a true eye opener for me. I randomly texted a friend that normally lives in San Francisco, but turns out he was there! Not only was it a great surprise to see him, but it turns out that the guy knows a lot of people… so we went out to really cool places..

and the best of experience: one of his mates owns a yacht (yes I know!). I do have a passion for the sea, I am a yachtmaster licence holder so no need to tell you how excited I was when his friend offered me to sail all together! The only time I actully piloted a yach to this day. The bloke asked me what I wanted to drink,I randomly said champagne as a joke but he had some…
This whole Miami experience is a reminder that even when you feel really low, tables can turn around very quickly.

at miami - international airport
We arrived with an uber at the airport.

The checkin hall is just unbelievably large!

Once I passed security, I remember walking a lot before reaching the J gates, where our flight was departing from. I was expecting to leave from H gates since Air France / Alitalia and other Skyteam members operated from there.

Just the time to grab something before flying - I remember the portions to be really small onboard on the way out.

onboard the b787-8
Aircraft: Boeing B787-8
Registration: SP-LRD
Engines: 2x RR trent 1000
Age: XX Years
Layout: J18 W21 Y213 seats
Here is the Lot economy class cabin.. Not too far off what is Air Europa cabin in terms of colours at least!

My first time onboard a B787, so of course, like everyone else I was - shall we say - intrigued by the windows!

The IFE - 100% Lot Polish Airlines of course.

So it was almost a LOT flight, the only difference was the Air Europa magazine placed onboard, and of course the crew.

One hour in, somewhere above the atlantic ocean, the food was served and the LOT/Dreamliner didn't change anything on the small portions..

I managed to sleep for several hours, the seats on the economy cabin are really not that bad at all.

The infamous magazine review as usual..

On this month Air Europa was due to received its first dreamliner unit and so it made the front news of the onboard magazine.

Even though Air Europa was about to received this first unit, still the magasine didn't menton the configuration of the plane.

at madrid - barajas - adolfo suarez airport
We arrived at the very end of the terminal1, the part of the terminal that has an extension linked with this colourful tunnel.

Thank you Christophe for sharing this flight with us.
In my opinion, it might be better to report this flight as a Lot Polish flight because the plane was from this airline and catering was too as we can see on the tray.
Do you remember if there were any cabin crew from Air Europa? Even in commercial representation?
How was the occupancy rate?
See you later
Hi Guilhem.
Well actually the airline that sold your ticket is the one you need to put under the description tab- i asked the moderators.
Thank you for this report. It might be described as a cross-over between Star Alliance and Skyteam. The food offer is on the cheap-side with UX :(

Thanks for the comment!
Yes UX was never the most generous caterer ever!
