Hi,
I had a stopover time of several hours at Warsaw which is why I decided to head to Warsaw downtown and do some sightseeing.
Once back at the airport I passed the very nice looking dedicated LOT Priority Check In area before continuing the Fast Track security.

I was the only passenger at the priority security check and was airside within minutes.
First I headed to the LOT Lounge at the Schengen area of the terminal.

The lounge was very empty this Saturday afternoon and I first passed the regular Business Lounge section.

Within the lounge is a small dedicated 'Elite' lounge reserved for the highest Premium customers including Star Alliance Gold travellers.
The lounge is cozy and provides a nice relaxed atmosphere - however unfortunately it has absolutely no daylight because of missing windows.

The buffet offers many drink choices and some basic cold snack items.

Warm dishes can be ordered from the staff.

I head some small lunch including this gnocchi dish which tasted fine however unfortunately was served in plastic.

After ca. 45 minutes I left the lounge to passe border controls and head to the Non-Schengen area of the terminal.
Another small LOT lounge is located here at ground floor which I decided to visit for a quick drink before boarding was about to start.

The lounge provides a nice and bright atmosphere with a lot of daylight and amazing apron views including this LOT Dreamliner.

On the way to my boarding gate I took some more LOT 787 shots including one in a special Poland celebration livery.

Boarding in a small corner of the terminal was extremely chaotic and very badly organized. Although there was a dedicated Priority lane it was almost impossible to reach that and differentitate between the regular crowd.
However finally I made it and was able to board the LOT Dreamliner that was wating for today's flight to Canada.

A very friendly cabin crew welcomed me onboard and I took my window seat in row 5. The cabin felt cozy and some nice classic Chopin music was played as relaxing boarding music.

The seats in general were comfortable and the pitch was good when seated however the construction of the seat and the drinks table on the center armrest makes it extremely cramped and almost impossible to get out once the passengers in front of you recline their seats.

Already provided on the center armrest were small disinfection towelettes.

Waiting on the seat was a blanket, pillow, amenity kit and headsets.

A bottle of water was placed in the seat pocket.

The content of the amenity kit was nothing spectacular like cosmetics etc. but the most important stuff like socks etc. were provided in it.

A couple of minutes later the very fiendly crew responsible for the 3 rows of Premium Economy served welcome drinks with a choice between water and orange juice.
Nice to have this feature again in Premium Economy as many airlines got rid off it during Covid times.

Next to us a Qatar Airways 787 was getting ready to depart for Doha in the Middle East.

Boarding took longer than expected and we pushed back with a delay of ca. 30 minutes. A flight time of 8 hurs 25 minutes was announced and a safety video was played on the screens in Polish followed by English.

We soon powered into dark skies and it stayed dark outside for this whole westbound flight across the Atlantic ocean due to us leaving Europe that late in the afternoon/evening.
So no more outside pictures unfortunately.

As the seat next to me luckily was empty (the only one in the whole Premium Economy cabin) I made myself comfortable and listened to some music.
Some more close ups of the seat controls.

The monitor slides out of the center armrest and is touc screen although rather old fashioned.

A printed inflight magazine and shopping brochure was placed in the seat pocket as well.

Next the cabin crew distributed some more disinfection towels from a silver tray which actually look to have replaced the pre-covid hot towel service at this step.

Ca. 20 minutes into the flight the drinks trolley made its first appearannce for aperitif service. I had Gin Tonic, water and some nuts to start with. Very nice to see that LOT Premium Economy features real glassware throughout the whole journey.

Another 20 minutes later meal trays were served from a trolley while a choice of two warm main courses was provided verbally. No more printed menus were provided which still used to be the case in pre-covid days.
I decided for the Asian style chicken dish. All in all the whole meal tasted very good - only the cold bread roll tasting rather bland.
Unfortunately the napinks are paper ones now compared to real cloth ones in pre-covid times.

More drinks were offered minutes later from a second trolley and I had some nice white wine - there even was a choice offered by the very friendly flight attendant between two different white wines.

Another 20 minutes later the meal trays were cleared away while hot drinks were offered in the same moment. I had some tea served in a nice big porcelain mug.

I spent the next hours watching a movie and sleeping a while.
Ca. 90 minutes before landing more disinfection towes were offered followed by a small cold pre-arrival meal.
The snack tasted fine and was perfectly adequate before landing.
More drinks were offered and gain served in real glasses and porcelain cups.

We soon started our descend into a rainy Toronto and touched down perfectly on time.

Great and comprehensive report once again Alex, thank you!
I am very impressed by the on board service, even if some items are still missing it's still miles ahead of what the other EU airlines are doing for their W product. The food looks tasty and I really appreciate the use of glassware and porcelain throughout the flight.
Hi Alex thanks for another great report! Very nice to see a review on LOT TATL Premium Economy service as it's rare these days. LOT's W service has consistently been better than average in both pre-pandemic times and currently. While US carriers have cut alcohol in Y and W and glassware in all cabins even in J, LOT seem to be able to offer both.
LOT also seem to be one of the few carriers who have an upgraded meal service for both meals--most EU carriers have the same meal as Y for the second meal, as you know. The seats themselves are also better than the competition with more legroom than most competitors.
Overall impressive service from LOT akin to Business class 20-30 years ago.
Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a very good premium economy service, but the seats appear not to be aging well.
