Hi there!
Here is my new report covering the brand new service which AF started a few months ago from Paris to Gran Canaria.
Terminal 2F has always stunning views, love the design of this building.
Boarding was made by bus and soon I was on my seat ready for departure.

Slightly after 10:00 we started our taxi and ready for a smooth take off

We crossed Northwest of Paris before making a big turn to towards the south heading to sunny Gran Canaria.
Minutes after take off on board entertainment system became available and it was a nice surprise to have a decent free Wi-Fi connection just for sending texts but enough. Unfortunately there was no magazine on board.
Free wi-fi

Time to check legroom now, which was more than pleasant for nowadays standards:

Almost one hour after take off cabin crew started the on board service, it was a nice surprise to have a great breakfast box
MEALS

Contents of the breakfast box detailed here:

After breakfast it was time to take a nap before arriving to Gran Canaria 6 mins ahead of the estimated arrival time.
Flight was uneventful and really quiet, almost no turbulence at all.
Hi Dani, thanks for sharing this report on a unique and new route. The Canaries are getting more and more popular and now we’ll even have a direct route from the US! The recent volcanic eruption has only added to the notoriety. It’s definitely on my bucket list!
It’s nice that AF offer free messaging through the Wi-Fi though it would be nice to see some real streaming IFE, especially on these longer flights. It had been available on and off in the past including Live news.
It’s nice that AF still offer free food on theses medium-haul routes. AF and KL might be the only Western European carriers to have remained full service and not gone the LCC/hybrid route with BOB. I wouldn’t mind BOB in addition to free offering though.
Otherwise looks like a nice flight!
Thanks for sharing
Hi Kevin,
Thanks for commenting! Hope you can use the UA flight to the Canaries anytime soon and discover our little paradise here.
Yeah, AF is one of the few airlines providing complementary food on short/medium haul flights and I hope that they keep it that way.
Regards,
Dani
