MY FIRST OUT OF MANY TRIPS TO BORDEAUX
As part of my job, I have been travelling to Bordeaux a lot of times in the past year, up to a weekly basis at some point. I really enjoyed making the plane a regular place like some people have a regular coffee place, for me it was a place of excitment and where I regularly see some of the same cabin crew I kept running into.
I know this is just a small domestic flight, and it is hard to make it interesting but I'll try my best!
Flight routing
- 1Air France LYS - BOD
- 2Air France BOD - LYS
Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 849
Status earned: 2 XP
Air France doubling the XP status in 2020: 2 additional XPs
The good old usual boarding pass on Air France

Here is the map of our A319 of the domestic route subfleet with the infamous "ironing board" seats.

AT LYON - SAINT EXUPERY AIRPORT
I arrived at the airport with a taxi. Air France has been operating from T2 since the terminal opened, and in these covid lockdown times, this was also the only airport terminal operating.

And here is our plane parked on the left.

onboard the a319
Boarding happened respecting the priorities and it was super easy… As it was july 2020 and the lockdown was just lifted a few weeks before that there were really just a few people on the plane.
A lot of CRJs today on the Hop pier.

Aircraft: Airbus A319-111
Registration: F-GRHQ
Engines: 2x CFM34
Age: 13 Years
Layout: Y100
Observation: With the hybrid blue wingtip livery

The crew was really professional and gave us a warm welcome, followed by the usual announce by the captain thanking us for flying wtih Air France; which is always a nice thought.
Push back and taxi towards 35L

I really like the "prawn" on the wingtips of AF new livery.

And take off!

Quikcly climbing before turning left

The cabin with the usual ironing boards.. The only thing interesting I guess is the cup holder..

Finally above the clouds.

the service was limited to a glass of water or soda, that i left on the left seat as there was nobody next to me

Since the first lock down, Air France stopped printing its magazine, and so it is digitally that you can discover it; it is available on the Air France play app.

AT BORDEAUX MERIGNAC AIRPORT
This is was the first I landed at Bordeaux with colleagues, and the first time we randomly met our taxi superstar - the one that I have lived every episodes of these trips!

While I was also in Bordeaux, I took advantage of this trip to visit a friend that is trying to pass his PPL, and the aeroclub is actually in the same merignac airport.

Thanks for reading my report!
