from gironde to rhone
As part of my job, I have been travelling to Bordeaux a lot of times in 2020 and 2021, up to a weekly basis at some point. This was the first time in my life I experienced a "regular" flying experience, where even some crew member might recognise and greet me!
Even thought I was taking risks as it was in the middle of the pandemic, I was super happy to fly.
Flight routing
- 1
- 2Air France Hop BOD - LYS
Flying blue Miles earned with this flight: 646
Status earned: 2 XP
Air France doubling the XP status in 2020: 2 additional XPs
I am not going to present Air France app, but still here is a screenshot of the boarding pass; it took Air France a few years to actually have a stable and robust app, and now it is quite user friendly

For some reasons you couldn't choose your seat on any of the Hop fleet, and even though your Flying blue status would typically entitles you to do so.
The plane has the standard 100 seats in a 2-2 config.

AT BORDEAUX - MÉRIGNAC AIRPORT
I like this view on the vineyards

passing through security at Bordeaux terminal B is quite easy and fast. Just the time for me to send a few email thanks to the airports wifi.
There are just a few working dedicated areas and it is always a bit of struggle to find a spot.

Not sure if this actual bird is based in LYS, I have been onboard 4 times…

The crew was really professional and gave us a warm welcome, followed by the usual announce by the captain thanking us for flying wtih Air France; which is always a nice thought.
It really feels like the days where Karens were the standard for cabin crews are over - thank you covid!

Nice tower!

Good bye LFPO!

The Cruise.. Really bright over the Volcanoes

Just like on the way out, the catering was limited to a free drink (my parents here look how they are lovely!)

Since the first lock down, Air France stopped printing its magazine, and so it is digitally that you can discover it; it is available on the Air France play app.

and the landing…

spoilers were armed… always a good thing right?!

A quick bonus, Air France has a "what kind of traveller are you" that lists out the flights in the last 10 years that you went on.. It is funny to see all the aircraft types and the amount of times you have been on, the flight distances, time in the air and the cities you visited!
Sometimes it doesn't update straight away neither does it with cities, that trent to disappear..

Thanks for reading my report!
