Connecting in DOH. The airport itself looks shinny but I find it dark, nothing compared to ICN or HKG… Should not be name the best airport in the world because by far it is not.
Today·s flight: Doha to Madrid on a brand new 787-9.
My seat today was 38K, quite a long walk :)
The cabin looked nice but as spacious as in the A350
And finally my seat… It was good to see no IFE box ( I heard that there were lots of complain in their 787-8 because of it
I was negatively surprised by the seat pitch: worse than in their 777 or A350. Probably it was reduced to 31in. Thankfully no one sat next to me :)
QR should improve their cleaning. The screen had marks of being wiped and the window was not cleaned from the previous flight.
Overall the IFE was good with a good selection of movies and show. I has Bluetooth and USB ports: USB-C and USB A
Meal service: Brunch I ordered the vegetable option just to give it a try. Was filly but nothing special. I still do not get why QR gives bread without butter or some creamy cheese? Their inflight catering in economy is lagging behind the competitors!
As soon as the person in front of me reclined its seat I tried to adjust my screen but WOW, you can barely adjust it. I could barely continue to finish the movie… In their A350 or 777 this does not happen and you can adjust the screen quite well but unfortunately not in their 787-9. There is no point in having a fancy big screen if you can not properly adjust it
