Good bye saint emilion!
Hello dear flight readers!
As part of my job, I have been travelling to Bordeaux a lot of times in the past year, up to a weekly basis at some point. This was the first time I experienced a "regular" flying experience, where even some crew member might recognise and greet me!
Fortunately, my job let us choose the airline we want to fly with, and so as a Flying blue frequent flyer I did not choose the orange plane over Air France..

I was very lucky my company was paying all these weeks a very nice hotel near rue Sainte Catherine, in the ultra centre of Bordeaux.. Where I was less lucky was because of the Covid times, and the curfew+ or lockdown- situation, Breakfast had to be had in the room..

I left bordeaux this mornning with my regular taxi super star!

As this flight was operated by Hop, and despite my gold status, I was only able to check in online and choose my seats just 30 hours before..

As all of the Air France Hop flights; you can't choose your seat at booking, regardless of your Skyteam membership status. I am still not sure why the E190/170 and CRJ700/1000 fleet is the exception…

Since late 2020, terminal B, that used to be dedicated to AF and friends, has been closed and all flights were operated from terminal A. So goodbye AF amentines and lounge for now, until a sweeter future..
My taxi dropped me at the A terminal.

The terminal has always been very quiet for me..

Passing security was very fast, even though there was just one lane opened.
And here is our bird!
onboard the e190
Very funny enough, if I trust my notes I have been on this particular unit at least 4 times!

Aircraft: Embraer E190STD
Registration: F-HBLM
Engines: 2x CFM34
Age: 2 Years
Layout: Y100
Observation: With the new Air France Hop livery!
Crew gave us a cordial greeting and they were exceptionnaly smiling.
Our view from my window..

and on my seat..
I became a good fan of the E190, not for the aesthetics of the plane (i still prefer the cool looking CRJs) but because the cabin is comfy and so are the seats.

Time to taxi up until the edge of runway 23…

Preparation au decollage..

V1.. rotate..

And here we lift off the ground!

Flying over gironde..

There are still no paper magasines on board and so I read it on the app.

You can tell how much more Transavia network covers now, even including domestic routes (look at Toulouse for example)

Did you notice that back in march the first B777-200ER already left the fleet? The count is down to 21 now.

The rest of the flight was really unenventfull, and for once we landed on runway 26L, which gave me the opportunity to take this really nice spotting picture of LFPG!

Landed happened smoothly and we taxied shortly up, betwenn hall L and M buildings up to terminal 2F. Usually Hop operates from 2G but since it is closed..

I leave you here for now!
