Hello everyone! Welcome This report will cover the 3rd leg from Taipei Taoyuen Airport to Hong Kong with Eva Air.
Flight routing
- 1LH730 Munich -> Hong Kong
- 2
- 3BR871 Taipei Taoyuen
- 4LH731 Hong Kong -> Munich
I arrived at the airport at 13:45pm. My plane would be leaving at 16:36pm, so I had a lot of time until the boarding. I headed to the EVA Air lounge and I chose the Infinity lounge. The lounged was not so crowded as I expected.

I grabbed myself some food and continued working with my laptop.

The illumination in my opinion did not quite fit with the lounge design

After spending an hour and 20 minutes in the lounge I decided to leave. Our gate was assigned at B9, which took us some times to walk from the lounge. It was already full of people at the waiting area and I managed to sit next to the counter. The boarding time was delayed for 20 minutes.

Boarding was started at 16:14pm. As written on the boarding pass, my boarding priority would be at zone 4. My seat was in 28A, I did not take the photo of my seat because the aisle seat was already occupied. Another welcome screen on the monitor.

View from my seat. Unfortunately the window was not so clear despite the aircraft was just 14 months.

Just realized that the background of the main menu would show the picture of the destination.

At 16:34 the boarding bridge was retracted and safety video was played.
At 16:40pm, pushback was commenced.

Eva Air Star Alliance A321-200

Following the China Airlines, we were the next one to takeoff.

At 17:01, we lifted off into the air from RWY05R. Soon we disappeared in the clouds.

Shortly after takeoff, we made a U-turn and headed Southwest.

Then I began to watch the first episode of Chernobyl season 1.

At 17:19pm, the meal was served. With the experience from the previous flight, I really had no expectation for that, instead of the biscuit, in this flight they gave us the chicken pie. Soon the flight attendant was serving coffee or tea and I had my tea cup filled.

Seat pocket items. The inflight magazine of EVA Air is called en Voyage.

At 17:40pm, it was announced that we would be descent in 10 minutes and the expected landing time would be 18:25pm.

At 18:25pm, we touchdown in Hong Kong airport. Total flight time was 1 hour and 24 minutes. At last we parked at gate 67.

Thanks for reading!
Hi NGD16, nice short and sweet report. The positives are a Dreamliner on a short flight and a small meal served, which is better than what we would get in Europe or North America in Y. Too bad the window was already scratched up on such a new plane. Thanks for sharing!
