Hi,
Check In at the Lufthansa Business Class Check In was quick & friendly and also within minutes I had passed the Fast Track Security check. I had a small lunch in the Lufthansa Business Lounge at G gates area which was rather crowded.
My boarding gate was on ground level which provided some nice perspectives of the parked aircraft.
Boarding via bus started some minutes late but once we reached the aircraft a technical problem with the gear was idnetified and we were brought back to the terminal. Luckily the issue could be fixed and in the end we finally boarded this Lufthansa CityLine CRJ 900 with a delay of ca. 50 minutes.
I took my window seat with free neighbour seat and quickly we left the parking position and taxied to the runway to depart for a quick 40 minutes hop to Vienna. Sunset was about to start.
Within minutes a rather friendly cabin attendant asked if I wanted some cake. I said yes and she soon handed me over this rather sad looking tray. The taste of the cake was ok but really nothing more.
Once the drinks trolley passed by I decided for some tea and water.
We soon descended into Vienna and parked at a remote position with a delay of ca. 1 hour.

It's nice that LH block the adjacent seat in J on regional jets, unlike other carriers like AF and KL that don't...if you don't have more space, it's not Business class. I agree that the catering looks a bit sad, even if it is a short flight. Not surprised to hear OS do better on food--OS have good catering all around.
