Here I am at HKG's main check in hall after Checking in at the city centre Kowloon station which is located underneath the hotel we stayed at, W Hong Kong. The entire process from check out at the hotel to getting inside the sterile part of the terminal only took me an hour…While at home, getting off the century blvd exit from the 405 to TBIT can take an hour with average speed of whopping 3 miles per hour.

Plaza Premium Lounge HKG - Priority Pass
Sadly I can only review one lounge on this report. The Plaza Premium lounge is decent to a certain degree. It was quite crowded thanks to PP folks. The food was okay but it was the same quality as you would get at a $9.99 buffet.

The lounge was very crowded too as expected. This one desperately needs an expansion.

And Movenpick ice cream. Perfect combination for Diabetes!
No bottled water? Ps: you have to ask the bartender for…bottled water.
Some healthy food options.
The food was much better than that in the plaza premium lounge. I really enjoyed the green curry coconut clam.
Juice station and candy dispenser.
The boarding area was filled with people when I got to the gate.
The agents asked everyone questions regarding the purpose of traveling to the states. Quite extra, don't you think.
Flying in Y class today.
New livery + WiFi
Going to be in this metal tube with 400 people for the next 14 hours.
1-2-1 J class configuration. Looks quite decent.
That 3-4-3 dreadful economy configuration…
Legroom is pretty decent. Love it that they have a smaller pocket for phones.
Large and responsive screens and wow it's 14 Centigrade good to know.
The highly (pun intended) adjustable headrest greatly assisted my sleep.
I really appreciate how CX always wraps their magazines and other reading materials this way. It's very easy to ignore them all together for people like me who don't read printed media.
Taxing to runway after a swift pushback.
Wonderful nose cam! That centerline taxi though, can't say the same about my taxi on the C172.
By the way, it did cost me a grand total of $42 to reserve this seat!
And we're off to LAX.

It was a very tasty meal albeit the small portion. Glad I filled up my stomach with curry earlier.
Going to sleep after watching Ralphs breaks the internet.
After a 4 hours of sleeping on and off, i woke up to this beautiful sunrise.

Sunrise over the Pacific. WiFi was working surprisingly well. $19 well spent!
In a few hours, I will be sitting inside the immigration detention centre provided complimentary by the US government! "Looking forward" to my visit!

Hi Harry, nice report as always! I was so disappointed when CX decided to go 3-4-3 in Y as they'd held out for so long and I thought they were above it. That being said, CX seem to have made it as tolerable as possible with good legroom and good IFE.

TBH I would prefer the 3-4-3 with newer seats and better entertainment since I am a very skinny person. Larger guys WILL DEFINITELY have problems on a 16 hour flight to HK! I will be publishing an Air China 77W with 3-3-3 config economy report next week, so we'll see how the two products compare. Thanks for reading!

Well... I have to because I live here and US is my home. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great country with many great people. It’s just that the bureaucracy is holding people down...Whenever I return to the US, homeland security puts me into hold in the immigration pen. Whenever I visit where I was born and raised, they treat like an expat. I don’t have the proper document to live, can’t keep up with recent policies and development. My language skills is 4th grade at best, according to my mom. So that begs the question, where is home? A place that doesn’t accept you or a place that gives you a hard time on “paperwork”?
