Hi,
This journey starts entering the very old and cramped terminal of Heraklion Airport.

Inside there were a lot of long queues and all Check In counters were busy with many tourists. Luckily I only had hand luggage.

Security was quite quick - once airside the terminal also offers very limites services: a quite big duty free shop, only very few and small snack bars and by far not enough seating for all the tourists. The worst part however are the toilets which are just disgusting: dirty with broken doors etc.
So the best part was spotting some holiday trafiic on the apron.

Luckily bus boarding started on time and soon I boarded the Lufthansa A321 during the last seconds of sunset.

The flight ended totally full - seat was comfortable and pitch excellent. Here you really notice the difference to Low Cost sister Eurowings.

We departed for a flight of 2 hours 20 minutes.
About 30 minutes into the flight the standard dry and boring sandwich (choice of cheese or pastrami) was offered. I was disappointed to see that Lufthansa serves sandwiches here only while the shorter trip to the Greek capital Athens gets warm meals.

No drink refills were offered neither on this quite long flight.
We landed on time at Munich.
Thanks for reading,
