After arriving from Hong Kong at gate F12, I followed the instruction for the international transfer and first I needed to go through the security control which was quite smooth for me. After that I arrived at the main departure hall. From the FAIB, my flight to Munich would be assigned at gate B17. As written on the boarding pass, the boarding time was at 5:45am. There was not so much time left for me, so I did not make any visit to any shops for facilities in the airport.

The new airport is much better than the old one.

When I arrived at gate B17, people were already queuing up and ready for boarding. The boarding sequence was written C in the boarding pass, but I could not find the alphabet sign. Instead, Turkish Airlines divided the queue with row numbers.

Boarding was started at 6:00am. At the end I finally had a glimpse of the aircraft. TC-JOF, an Airbus A330-300, delivered to Turkish Airlines in April 2015. Seat is C28Y261 configured.

My seat 14A. Pillow and earbud were placed on the seat.

View from my seat. Next to us, parked an A320 Turkish Airlines, TC-JUI, preparing for its flight to Kherson as TK472 at 6:45am.

Back of the economy seat.

At 6:35 boarding was completed and flight time was expected to be 2 hours and 20 mins. Then safety video was shown. The Lego movie was replaced by this new video.
After 15 minutes there was another information that due to Euro control, our plane was given a new slot in 23 minutes. So I decided to watch a movie, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote.

Eventually, pushback was commenced at 7:15am.

About 25 minutes we reached the departing runway 34L.

At 7:41am, we lifted off into the air from RWY34L.

Shortly after takeoff we flew over the Black Sea and headed northwest.

At 8:20am, breakfast was served and I had a coffee for the drink. The Turkish Borek was really tasty and I was so satisfied with the meal.

At 9:23am, it was announced that descend was commenced and we would be landing in 45 minutes. I took a look at the flight map and we were in Austria, somewhere close to Graz. Our plane flew through Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria and lastly Germany. 10 minutes later, seatbelt sign was turned on.

View of the cabin. From what I observed the loading was quite high for this morning flight.

At 9:56am, we landed on Munich Airport RWY26L. Total flight time was 2 hours and 15 minutes.

We parked in Terminal 1, exactly the same gate as I departed week ago.

Thanks for reading!
Thank you for sharing this report - once again goes to show what an outstanding product TK has, now made even better with the new airport. The presentation of the meal though, ehhh could've been better.
I am curious to see which A330-300 onwards have the new interior, seeing as TC-JOA that I flew on last year had the older IFE...
Hi NGD16, nice report as always with great pics! The new IST is really impressive and such a huge improvement. Always nice to get a widebody on a short flight! The cabin still looks brand new on this 4 year old bird. Do you remember if there were regular power outlets in addition to the USB port under the PTV?
