Hello again everyone. After 3 days of awesome holiday in the paradise island of Phuket, it was time for me to heading home to my hometown, Kuala Lumpur (KL). For this return flight, I would be flying with Malaysian budget carrier, Air Asia (AK).

Airport Experience
I arrived at Phuket International Airport around 6pm via a transportation that I booked through a small tour stall near Sharaya Boutique Hotel. The airport was crowded and packed with many travelers.

Then, I went upstairs to buy some light snacks from the 7-Eleven store which located at the 2nd floor. Here are some views of the terminal from the 2nd floor:

After that, I went downstairs again and proceeded to AK's check-in counter to drop my luggage.

The international departures from HKT on that evening.

At 7pm, I made my way to the airside. As usual, I had to go through the security, customs and passport check before I reached the airside.

And my flight would be departed from Gate 15.

While waiting for my plane to arrive, I did some window shopping at several duty-free stores, stalls and shops available at the airside area.

Around 9:15pm, our aircraft still hasnt arrived at the gate. There was a high probability that our flight would be experiencing a delay.

Finally, at 9:30pm our plane appeared and we were called to board the aircraft as soon as all the arriving passengers deplaned. It was a really rushing boarding process!

Boarding Experience

Emirates' B773 parked next to our aircraft.

My seat, 20A.

The view from my window.

Boarding still in progress.

While boarding was still taking place, I decided to check out the contents of the seat pocket.

Once the last passenger had boarded the aircraft, the door was shut and our plane started to make its way to the active runway. The safety demo was performed by the cabin crew during the taxi.

Inflight Experience
We left the ground at 9:55pm and once the seatbelt sign was switched off, the cabin crew sprung into action to distribute the inflight meals. 2 cabin crew distributed the pre-booked meals while another 2 cabin crew conducted the buy-on-board service. I bought a combo which included an inflight meal and checked bag. The downside of this combo is that you wont be able to choose your own inflight meal. On this flight, I received a Yangzhou Fried Rice.

The Fried Rice tasted very bland. I wished they gave me something better such as the Nasi Lemak.

The meal came with a mineral water, but I still purchased a Vietnamese Iced Coffee from the BOB (buy-on-board) menu.

After we finished our meals, the cabin crew came once again for cleaning service and later disappeared inside the galley.

The cabin was dimmed in the preparation for landing.

We safely landed in KLIA terminal 2 few minutes behind the schedule and after I cleared with the immigration, I made my way to the conveyor belt number 5 to collect my luggage.

Then, I walked to the landside and went to the terminal's bus station which located at level 1 of Gateway aka KLIA2's shopping mall. I took the bus to KL Sentral Station in downtown KL and from there, I took a Grab to my home in Gombak.
And that was a wrap for my trip to Phuket =)
