Hi,
I had an early Check Out from my Hotel to reach the busy Riga Airport at ca. 6:15 AM in the morning. Security check was very well organized but due to the high volume I had to wait for ca. 15 minutes. Once airside I was really surprised by the very nice Riga Airport terminal - actually it became one of my favourites in Europe: it is very modern, offers masses of day lights and big windows with apron views and many nice shops & restaurants in nice Nordic design. On the way to my gate I did some aircraft spotting of different models operating within the airBaltic fleet.

Finally I reached my gate at the C pier and saw my nice old lady, a Boeing 737-300 with winglets waiting at the gate.

Boarding started a little bit late onto the very full flight this morning. I passed the Business Class cabin which consisted of three rows separated by a big curtain from Economy Class. The seats there were separated by nice small tables on the middle seats.

Economy Class seats were ok but offered a rather cramped seat pitch. The pitch on airBaltic 737s is definitely worse than n the new A220s.

The cabin was really old fashioned . I have not travelled on a old generation Boeing for many years. But still it was somehow nice and offered a charme remembering of past travels some decades ago.

A manual safety demonstration was conducted and we soon took off for a flight that should take 1 hour 55 minutes.

Once cruising altitude was reached the cabin crew started the Buy on Board service - however only a few passengers decided to buy something this morning. About 30 minutes into a flight I was served my pre ordered warm breakfast that did cost me 9 EUR while paying online. I also decided to add a cup of tea for additional 3 EUR as the trolley passed by. The breakfast came in a very nice and clver designed box.

The content tasted fine and especially the warm omelette tasted amazing: it was one of the best that I ever had - it had some great cream cheese filling.

We crossed Poland & Czech Republic in nice sunny skies.

Finally we started our approach into Munich offering nice sunny views of the Alps before parking at Terminal 1 next to an Onur Air Airbus from Turkey.

Thanks for this FR.
While I agree the pre ordered meals are of good quality, I think BT should offer a choice of tea or coffee for the price, instead of that can of chemical orange juice
Yes I would also have preferred a free warm drink instead of that juice!
