Introduction

Having travelled through Changi before, I was familiar with facilities.

After disembarking, we decided to rest for some time before exploring the Terminals.

Duty free area was busy with many flight departing from the terminal. Had meal at food court.

As departure time was getting close, took skytrain to Terminal 2

After shopping at Terminal 2, checked the gate number for SQ 424 to Mumbai
Gate for boarding
Arriving at the gate, underwent security check. Passport and boarding pass was checked before being allowed in the waiting area.

Flight was full, boarding was called soon by seat number.
Being 2007, most popular mobile brand was Nokia. Iphone released on 29th June 2007

Safety Demonstration
Crew closed all the overhead bins and safety demonstration was conducted manually.
Waiting for pushback
After some wait, pushback commenced, taxi to runway before lining up for takeoff . Announcement was regarding departure. Crew returned to seats and light was dimmed for takeoff

Cabin service began with snack distribution followed by drinks.

After an hour, dinner service commenced with special meal distributed first.

The option was Chicken, Lamb or Veg. I selected the lamb option.

After Dinner, rested for next few hours. Light were switched off for resting.

After resting, light were switched on. Crew distributed the Indian immigration form and the customs declaration. Duty free sales commenced about 2 hrs before landing,

Announcement was made the flight has arrived 15 mins early. Air traffic controls had put the flight in holding pattern due to congestion at airport.

Cabin light was off till arriving at the gate.
Disembarkation
Flight arrived at Terminal 2C, which catered to Star Alliance members and Air India. After exiting the aircraft, walked through a long corridor, took escalator down to immigration.
Immigration and Customs
Immigration queue didn't take long, Immigration officer checked my visa, passport stamped. Another officer collected checked if the passport was stamped and was allowed into baggage collection area.
Bags arrived shortly after. As I didn't have any dutiable item, headed out through the Green channel. Policeman collected the custom forms.
Exiting the airport
Even though the flight was delayed by 15 mins. Landing to exit took 45 mins, which was much quicker than hours spent at customs during 1980~90's.
After exiting the building, was picked by family member to head home.
