Hi,
Welcome to the fourth and last flight from the following series:

FLIGHT A3 870 - ATH-WAW - A320 - you are here
After an early morning flight from Cyprus, we arrived about 7:30 to Athens having not more than an hour and 20 minutes before our departure to Warsaw. As I wrote before, it's not very easy to change from a non-Schengen to Schengen flight in ATH as there is no special path and all you can do is exit the airside zone and enter it again passing passport and security control. Having 1:20 between the flight you can do with with ease, however you won't have much time for anything else. I hardly made it to my favourite olive oil shop in Schengen zone.
THE FLIGHT
After quite fast boarding procedures I found myself again on the tarmac waiting for the bus that will take us to the aircraft.

I love special liveries, retro-jets and anything that makes a jet look special. Today is my lucky day as I'm going to fly an A320 with special "Acropolis Museum" sticker :)

In this case a bus boarding is a great idea

I always choose a window seat but unfortunately not this time: my colleague says she wants to sleep and as I had a window seat for the last 3 flights, now it's her turn… What can I do? I take some pictures as she tries to sleep leaning on the tray table.

After a short taxi we are once again airborne over green Attica with the city of Athens visible in the background

This A320 is equipped with the overhead screens showing our route map so at least this is going to be my inflight entertainment as I can look out of the window from time to time only.

Aegean is once more the best regional european airline and it really deserves this title

Breakfast service arrives when we are already airborne for about 40 mintues. It conists of a warm pastry with feta cheese and sundried tomatoes, greek yoghurt with honey, jam, bread and butter. The pastry is ok but nothing special. I would say that the best part of this meal is the very fresh and tasty yoghurt with honey, one of the best things you can have for breakfast in Greece.

Some views when my colleague sleeps and I can finally see what's going on outside

Despite having a middle seat, time runs fast on this flight and soon we are back to grey and rainy in this part of the year Warsaw. A guy sitting next to me comes from Beirut and flies to Poland for the very first time hoping to see some snow. I explain to him that he should come in January or February as December has become lately a rather rainy than snowy month in this part of Europe.

Thanks for reading this short report, I hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks for this FR.
I agree the yoghurt is the best past part of the breakfast, I even asked if they had one left when flying back from HER.
Funny transfers aren't easier in ATH, A3 tries to become a connecting airline, mostly to the middle east.
Thanks for your comment! Yes, this yoghurt was great, I would have eaten more, if it had been available :) Transfers in ATH are a good joke, hope they plan to do something about it.
Dziekuje Łukasz!
Very good pics and interesting report.
I 'm a bit disappointed about breakfast as i was expecting something better from Aegean.
Dobranoc !
Hi Benoit, this breakfast wasn't really Aegean style but comparing it to other carriers it was more than ok. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi there!
Glad to know you made it back home safe and sound.
She must be either very flexible or very short! How on earth do you lean on a tray table in such a cramped space?!
Sounds delicious. I wonder why I haven't tried it before.
I have no doubt after seeing that meal service on a 40-minute flight!
So sorry for him! He sould have asked first! (And so should I before going to Argentina last week. The heat was unbearable!)
Thanks for sharing, Loukas! :)
You know, I am neither short nor flexible, but I do lean on tray tables of aircrafts ^^. With a small cushion of course.... The only problem occurs if the passenger of the preceding row decides to recline his/her seat.
