This is the outbound flight for our yearly trip to the Baltimore/Washington area. This year, we chose BWI as our arrival airport, because it is cheaper than DCA and closer to our destination than IAD. Our flight was scheduled to depart at around 0745, and we were running a little late so we got to the airport around 0605. SEA was relatively busy with slow check-in lines, but nothing out of the ordinary. We got our boarding passes, and the gate was N12C. I didn't know this existed, so after some research I saw that they moved some gates due to the renovation of the North Satellite. This gave us a cool view of the airport as we walked outside and under parts of the building. Security was quick, and we got on the train to the N gates. We got Starbucks and went to the gate.

Alaska's sign about the moved gates.

Terrible photo of the walkway to gates N12 A/B/C.

Our aircraft, N469AS, a 2014 737-990ER.

Parked next to one of Alaska's Disneyland themed planes. We pushed back more or less on-time, but we had to wait for about six other planes to taxi out before we could get moving. Below are pictures from the taxi.

DHL 767-200.

Delta SkyTeam 757-200.

Alaska's "Honoring Those Who Serve" 737-900ER N265AK. We taxied out to runway 16L (or 16C?) and departed about 15 minutes late.

Some great views on climb-out.

The cruise was pretty uneventful until we reached the midwest. There were a lot of thunderstorms all over the midwest and east coast, so we had to change our heading quite often due to the weather. The descent was quite turbulent.

On approach to BWI in some surprisingly good weather. After a smooth landing and a very quick taxi to gate D20 (which they started using this year; they used to use C2 which I preferred. It was closer to baggage claim and felt nicer.). And that's all, thanks for reading!
