We had 1 hour 50 minutes exactly (as the plane arrived on time) to go outside the transit area, buy cheeses and other fantastic food in Migros situated directly at the airport and go through security again back to board the plane. If you will ever have time in ZRH, do not forget to go to Migros. It is quite a big supermarket where you can shop for everything. I especially recommend swiss cheeses, fresh pasta, spätzle, bakery etc. If you are flying to a country, where there is nothing in shops (like I do), this is perfect help!
Security was quick and they even did not found my Bierchermüesli! We headed to SWISS new lounge situated in gates A. This is easy to find, not as easy to access as you have to take your luggage to the staircase and then the biggest problem - to find a place to sit. It was very crowded with no seats left. I think SWISS really undertook this when they planned the reconstruction. Maybe they should not do separate lounge for Star Gold if those lounges were one people could split to every corner and it would be just enough space for everybody.
However, the beverage selection was great with perfect coffee, Sirocco teas and also live cooking was nice but…wait…there is only that small buffet? I find the food selection very, very insufficient for the needs of business travelers inside EU who just want to grab some quick food to go…
We boarded our flight along with Czech TV CEO and took off exactly on time.
Service started immediately and was just enough for such a short flight.
Hi TULAKPOHVEZDACH! Thanks for your report! Do you have any photo of the Swiss A320 business class seat? A bit off topic I wonder what is "Bierchermüesli"?. I tried to google it, but I still have no idea what's that (seems some kind of food)
Sorry after some researches, I found that Swiss A320 business class seat is simply an economy seat with a blocked middle, same as BA.
This is standard business class seat within Europe. You won't find any other unles flying Turkish (which is more Asia than Europe carrier).
Bierchermüsli is very tasty swiss kind of müsli. It is made with yogurt, oats, milk and a lot of fresh fruit.
