Hey there, and welcome to thekoalatraveller's very first flight review on flight-report.com!
It's another great day to fly!
Introduction
As it nears the school holidays in Singapore, I visited Kuala Lumpur for a short holiday getaway on Scoot.
Part 1: TR 466 SIN-KUL (you are here!)
Part 2: TR 465 KUL-SIN (Coming soon)
On the day of my flight, I arrived at Changi Int'l 3 hours before my scheduled flight, since it is a night flight hence I expected that the Airport will not be so busy.

Checked in for my flight this evening, TR466 from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur.

Airline: Scoot (TR)
Flight Number: TR466
Equipment: Airbus A320-200
Reg: 9V-TRK
Seat: 23A
From: Singapore Changi International Airport (SIN)
To: Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL)
Entered a relatively empty T2 this evening.

Did a quick flight check on one of the many readily available kiosks in T2. Departure Gate was E1.

Once I passed security, I was in the gate. Due to late arrival of inbound aircraft, boarding commenced late. When they announced that the flight to KL is ready for boarding, Passengers with elderly, infants and kids and those who purchase board me first could board. After that there were no more announcements, and no boarding groups were enforced.

Second passenger to board today's flight.

Typical LCC Narrowbody seats onboard this 5.4 year old Airbus A320.
Pre-flight

Seat 23A it is for me today, and as always, it is a window seat.
Typical LCC 28" Seat pitch. 180 seats on the a320. The seats onboard Scoot are not well-padded, resulting an uncomfortable flight experience.

Some seatback literature includes the Scootalogue, Scoot Cafe menu, Safety card, and the airsickness bag.

After everyone has boarded, the door is closed and the aircraft starts to pushed back. The cabin crew carried out the safety demo.
As this was a night flight, most of the shots were dark and as such I will not post them here.
Flight was delayed and took off only at 8.16pm, 36mins behind schedule.
As we flew out of Singapore, huge thunderclouds engulfed the flight path, and as such seatbelt sign was left turned on for the entire flight, and no service as carried out.

Landing was at 8.53pm, 13 minutes behind schedule. After aircraft taxied to the gate, and the first few rows had deboarded, the cabin crew immediately sprung into action by clearing up trash left by the passengers, preparing for a 40min turnaround back to Singapore.
Stay tuned for my return flight.
See you soon! Till then, happy flying!

Hi TheKoalaTraveller, thanks for sharing your first report here! You're right that 28-29" seat pitch seems to have become the norm for LCCs, which can be torture on longer flights if you're taller than 5'8" or 170cm, especially with the ultra-thin slimline seats. Luckily SIN-KUL is a really quick hop, so perfectly fine for a short flight like that given the price. Here in the U.S. only 1 ULCC, Spirit, has ventured into 28" territory, though the legacies are slowly but surely reducing pitch from an average of 32-33" a few years ago to 30-31" on refurbished cabins and new aircraft today. AA tried to go down to 29" on the 737 MAX 8, but the public outcry was so loud, they stuck with 30". 28-29" pitch is understandable for an LCC, but not a legacy carrier.
Thanks for sharing and welcome to Flight-Report!
Welcome to FR!
I have heard many negative reviews about Scoot and the 28' isn't really helping either, though I wish to try them myself too to experience.
