Hi,
Security was very quick through a nice dedicated quiet Fastlane area. After security I had some nice views on different TAP planes during sunset before heading to the lounge.

TAP Executive lounge is located on the upper level of the building and comes in very modern design. However many aread are kept in white like couches etc. which leads to the lounge looking rather dirty and used unfortunately.

The buffet offers some nice warm and cold snacks.

Boarding started on time onto a bus that would bring us to our Airbus 319 parked far away on the apron.

Business Class consisted of 3 rows tonight which were occupied by 5 passengers in total. I had a whole row for myself.
The pitch was great and the seats are very modern and feature tablet holfer and electricity plugs which is great. In general the seats were comfortable for such a medium haul flight.

Also notice that TAP puts in better seats to the first half of the plane and more low cost style seats to the second half of the plane where Business Class can never be located by movable cabin divider.
There was no kind of pre departure service and we soon departed into dark skies after a manual safety demonstration for a flight of 3 hours to Munich.

Soon after takeoff the cabin crew closed the curtain to Economy. Strange enough the curtain is only in the aisle but not behind the seats like on other airlines. That looks really strange and does not really create a private atmosphere in Business Class. Come on TAP: Spend your planes two more curtains!

There were two very friendly ladies taking exclusive care of us 5 Business Class passengers throughtout the whole flight. So service was really personal and friendly.
Quickly cold refreshing towels and menus were distributed. The menu offered two warm main dishes to choose from: veal or pasta.

Some minutes later the flight attendant asked me personally about my main dish choice and what I wanted to drink before the meal.
I ordered a Gin Tonic.
This was soon served with a nice bottle of Portuguese loal Gin and some crackers with it.

Service was very unrushed and aout one hour into the flight the meal trays were served by hand. The service had a perfect flow: One flight attendant serving the meal and asking for drinks while the other followed with a basket of warm bread.

The meal tasted great and all had Portuguese influence. Also it was nicely presented with proper linen and cloth napkins.
Drink and bread refills were offered.
Once my tray was removed I ordered some tea which was nicely served in a cup with saucer.

Later in the flight I had a glass of nice port wine.

The flight ended smoothly and we landed on time in Munich.
Thanks fro reading,
FlyAlex
Hi FlyAlex, thanks for sharing this beautifully photographed report. The new TAP cabin looks really fresh and modern, it's just a shame they don't have a table between the seats--though I guess when the cabin is mostly empty like this, it's actually better without a table. The catering always looks good on TAP short/medium-haul J.
Hello, Thanks for your FR!
The lounge could be little more cozy, the buffet was ok.
It would have be better a full contact for boarding instead to do it by bus...I see that the cabin was, as you reported, not really private as the curtain did not covered behind the economy seats.
TAP, an other company that not use a "club" type of seats for business bus a economy style like Air France...I do not call that a full business service.
Nice touch about the Porto ;) I love it!
