19 of 20…. I needed one more flight to get Silver Finnair/Ruby OneWorld tier Membership. So I had a chance to get it- a £35 flight from Chicago to Dallas!
So I did this flight back in January 2018 on an MD-80, I had also flown the Boeing 737-800 & two Airbus A321 (ex-US Airways)- wasn't too overwhelmed by the Airbus- but the MD & B73 were amazing!

So I get checked out of my hotel at 4am, got to ORD for 5am and was through security with in 20 minutes, which was probably due to me being organised in this after my last few US internal trips and getting in before the main rush began.

I lived in Burnham at the time- so the irony that I was in Chicago O'Hare at 6:30am watching the Royal Wedding taking place only 15 minute drive from where I lived!

I saw quite a bit of action from American from the gate.

Least I didn't have to go to work in the horrible traffic! Score one for Jett Force one!

A shiny 3 year old Airbus A321-CEO(WL) sat at my gate, ready for the ride down south! The air frame being N153AN.

Getting inside the Airbus I was allowed to visit the flight deck at the start quickly as I was boarded as Group 3 of 7, joys of having some status!

Getting my seat half way down the Airbus, I found the seats & IFE screens to be very similar to the one used in the Boeing 737-800, making this a bonus!

We had a bit of a slow taxi to our take off runway, probably because 8am-9am is a busy slot for any major international airport!

But after take off we powered through the clouds! Finally getting to our cruising height of 35,000ft.

I spent the two hour watching tv show episodes and tracking the flight map. Also enjoying a bit of music from some selected albums.
For breakfast I enjoyed the American Airlines snack box I enjoyed back in January.

A biscoff biscuit and free cola drink was also given.

The plane began its decent as we began to come up to Texas, unlike Iowa- it was clear sky's all around! Despite a few clouds scattered…

We landed into Dallas Fort-Worth just a few minutes of schedule.

Parking at the American Airlines gates, I got off the A321 then made my way to the Skylink to enjoy a quick ride or two before leaving.

American Airlines action:

Saw the ASTROJET Boeing 737!

Thanks for this FR.
35£ is not much to achieve a status.
How much was the snack box? Seems pretty full.
DFW Skytrain is as good as FRA's in terms of tarmac view...
The snack box was about $8.
£35 for a one-way flight and I had 19 flights of 20 flights already bagged, this was the last one needed.
