Avianca Ecuador has a daily flight between Guayaquil Ecuador and Cali Colombia mostly dedicated to connect passengers from Ecuador to NYC and MAD and Pax from MIA, and MAD to Ecuador, so I would dare to say that almost 50% if not more of the flight are connecting passengers.
As I am Ecuadorian and life in Cali, this flight works perfect for me as it has got and evening schedule in both ways. This flight is always operated by the Ecuadorian branch.
Here is the report:
I arrived from my hometown Cuenca to Guayaquil by road, it takes about 3 hours with beautiful landscapes. This is called El Cajas National Park
Soon we were at Guayaquil´s José joaquín de Olmedo airport which has won several awards including the 3rd best Airport in the World from 2 to 5 million pax category in 2015-2014, as well as the best regional airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2015
After security filters I had a beer and took some pics while waiting for my flight

Finally our plane arrived from Quito. It is the HC-CLF Airbus 319 still with Aerogal livery
It was soon time to board for this short 75 minutes flight, we did it using the stairs which was great.
First to board. Originally I had seat 1D but as the cabin was half full, after the doors were closed I moved to 3K. This aircraft has not Personal Entertaiment System just in the overheads so I did not used, this is a short flight anyway

We were soon ready for take off. After the sign went off hot towels and another drink was offered. After that a cold snack with a dessert was served with coffee and more drinks. The Purser had an excellent attitude and always addressed to all the passengers using their Last names.
Not pictures from the window as it was very dark, soon we started our descend and landed safely at Cali´s Airport
Imigration was very quick as this is a new international terminal building more modern making the experience much better than before, finally lots of people waiting for their friends and relatives but no one waited for me… Welcome to Cali
