Hello Everyone.
This is a short trip report of an Indian domestic flight, IndiGo Airlines, from Chennai to Mumbai operating as 6E-654.
IndiGo allows online check-in for flights 48 hours prior to the flight itself.
Though I was expecting for 320N which was operating on this route for the past 2-3 days but the aircraft which flew me on the D.O.J from Chennai to Mumbai was VT-IDP, a 12.8-year-old EX- Aegan airlines.
I arrived at the Chennai International Airport around 0300 hrs for a 0520 departure. To enter the airport itself, it was compulsory to show flight reservations and ID proof. After Check-in I had to pass the security check and Damn !!! there were more than 500 people ahead of me in the line, like all Indian airports, there were gender separated screening lines. Though there is 15 counter for security check, only 8 were active even in such a crowd.
After standing in the 'Q' for more than 1 hour we went to G-13 to board the Pax bus to the aircraft.
Finally, after boarding the aircraft, I made myself comfortable and started Checking-in on Facebook like every traveler does :P. Thankfully I got seat no: 9F, which is one seat ahead of the Starboard side wing!

Our Capt introduced himself by giving a short briefing about our Crusing altitude, weather at Mumbai etc. And he also mentioned that we might encounter Turbulence during cruising, which made my excitement level touch the peak…. hahaha ( It was quite scary too )

Exactly at 0520 our aircraft started Pushback, taxied and took off from Runway 25.

The climb was for about roughly 13mins ( 0543 Hrs ),
Cabin crew was busy serving the pax breakfast when the SEAT BELT SIGN suddenly turned ON.
( OUR PLANE WAS SHAKING HEAVILY DUE TO TURBULENCE )
Turbulence lasted for around 8 mins ( 0557 hrs - 0605 hrs ). We cruised for almost 50 mins and started our descent at 0633 hrs, after 27 mins we finally touched down at 0700 hrs at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (VABB/BOM).
