Trip Report: Jet Airways 9W584 Mumbai to Abu Dhabi
Introduction
In January 17 after a spending few weeks in Mumbai, it was time to return. I was booked with Etihad. The Mumbai bound trip report can be found by clicking this link : Etihad: Mumbai.
Jet Airways being a code-share partner, got an opportunity to fly them on the return trip to Sydney.
Arriving at the airport
Had booked an hire care to arrive around 1 p.m. Due to traffic and drivers lack of local knowledge, reached around 2 p.m.

Check-In
Check-in was chaotic, All Jet passengers to Abu Dhabi and Dubai were in same queue for check-in. Waited in queue for nearly an hour.
Told the staff, flight departs in an hour still the check-in wasn't done, he said not to worry, will delay the flight.
At 3p.m they opened a separate counter for Abu Dhabi and Dubai passengers.

Still long wait to check-in
Time was 3.10pm, when I got checked-in. I had pre-booked window seat when I purchased the ticket. Didn't check the seat number and headed straight to security and immigration.
Security and immigration didn't take long as the not many international flight in the afternoon. Took maybe 10 mins max for both the procedures.

I didn't want to waste time, went straight to gate.

Gate was close to the escalator, reached soon.

Waited close to gate for boarding to be called. Flight got delayed by 25 mins, which was fine for me. As I had a 3 hrs wait in Abu Dhabi.

Flight was full.

On entering the flight, I checked my ticket. I was changed to aisle seat in the exit row. My neighbour got instructed regarding opening exit door in emergency.

In few minutes, captain came on board and welcomed. Heading West, over Arabian Sea and on to Oman and land in Abu Dhabi.
Within few minutes, pushback commenced.
After taxi to runway 27, a sharp lift and onwards to Abu Dhabi.

Someone had left a plastic bottle in my seat pocket.
Leg room
Snack was started on cruising height. Choice was veg or non-veg. Chose the non-veg option.

Puri - Don't know what its called, yellow in colour, Kheema and dessert Washed it with red wine.
Ready for collection
Was time to fiddle with IFE. Didn't work, An app was needed to run the entertainment on the phone.

I tried to run it as per the instructions, could on get flight information as other feature could only be accessed through the app.

It was time for landing soon. Landed around 6p.m local time in Terminal 1. I wasn't in a rush, got off on a leisure pace.

Had to pass through security in Abu Dhabi to enter transit area. Everyone was asked to take off shoe.

After arriving Abu Dhabi. I had to pass security check, where shoes had to be removed.
