Review of Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Tehran in Economy

After the domestic connection flight from Münster/ Osnabrück to Frankfurt I went to the assigned gate C16. I had to pass the security again. When I arrived at the gate the told us the flight was 4 hours delayed. New departure time was 9.20pm. Lufthansa gave everybody food coupons for a special restaurant only for LH600 to Tehran.

The was a choice between chicken and fish. I ate chicken. Ice cream was also for free.

The new economy seats from Lufthansa are very comfortable. Legroom is not much but okay for an 5 hour flight.

South African A340-600 to Johannesburg:

The pilot apologized for the 4 hour delay in the name of lufthansa and after that we took off to Tehran. Meal service started directly after we reached the cruising alttitude.

For dinner there was a choice between chicken and pasta.

After dinner I slept for 1:30 hours.

Entertainment was very good. Lufthansa has a large choice of new movies. Unfortunately the flight was at night time and too short so I did not watched a movie on the new economy entertainment screens.

Because of the 4 hour delay we arrived in Tehran at 4:30 in the morning and there was no space for us at the terminal so we had to get of the B747-400 by stairs.

Conclusion

To conclude I can say that I am a big fan of Lufthansa.
Unfortunately the flight LH600 from FRA-IKA was delayed so I spend the whole night in the plane.
The services from Lufthansa in Frankfurt were very good so time went by fast and I wasn't really unhappy about the delay.
Getting of the plane (747-400) in Tehran took a long time cause we arrived at 4:30am in the morning and there was no free gate for us. Everybody had to wait outside till the busses come and take them to the terminal. But usually getting of this flight is at the terminal.

4 hours of delay, did they tell you why it was so?

LH economy's food is certainly larger in terms of portion compared to that of KL's, it seems. Was alcoholic beverages on offer?

I was quite surprised when I found out they operate this route using a 747-400, as not only did I think LH has gotten rid of all their 744s, but also didn't realise the load would be big. But it seems that the flight had a pretty good load. Also, how was the flight crew?

Just a meal is underwhelming for a 4h delay.

Did they provide beverages the whole time as well ?

Basic food as always in LH Y.
