On the day of flight, there was an incident of pepper-spray circulating the airport which resulted in the closure of airport for a few hours. I was watching the news for the whole afternoon hoping that it won't affect my flight in the evening. Luckily, the airport reopened quickly and I immediately headed to the airport. I took the S Bahn and arrived at the airport at 17:58pm. I printed out the boarding pass at an automatic machine and headed directly to the security check. I expected that there would be lots of people because of the incident but it wasn't.
In less than 20 minutes, I went through the security check. As written on the boarding pass, the gate was C08. When I got there, it was still handling the prior flight of Air Berlin to Munich.
I found a bench nearby so that I can take a rest and wait for boarding. While I was waiting, I received an email from Lufthansa informing a gate change. The gate will be changed to C10. This meant that we will be broaded by bus instead of the air bridge. C10 is located at the ground floor. Once I arrived at the gate, it was already full of people in the area.
Boarding was started at 19:15pm, 10 minutes behind the schedule as all the buses were very busy. I got on the first bus to the plane which parked in front of hanger F. A Tarom B737-700, YR-BGH was parked next to us, preparing for the flight back to Bucharest as RO322. My plane for today's flight, D-AIUQ, the aircraft that took me to Munich last month.
During boarding, the captain made several announcements that our flight was fully loaded tonight, so please stored our bags under the seat in front. In the end, a man sat next to me, basically he was playing with the games on his mobile for the whole flight. At 19:51pm, boarding was completed and flight time to be one hour.
Before pushback, our plane needed to be deiced and at 20:05pm we began pushback and cabin light was dimmed. Eventually, we took off at 20:17pm. Seatbelt sign was off 5 minutes after takeoff, another 5 minutes I was given the snack. But I waited 20 minutes more to get my drink, I guess because I was sitting in the middle of the aircraft.
I read my novel for the rest of the flight. At 21:04pm seatbelt sign was on again and we started descending into Munich airport.
At 21:21pm, we touched down on RWY08R and after a short taxi, we reached our parking gate. There was a A340-600 parking next to us, D-AIHY.
