On this trip, I will be travelling to Paris with some friends as we go on a mini-exchange to learn French to the small town of Rambouillet, a 30min train ride from Paris itself. I was really excited about this trip as a way to get away from a frankly exhausting semester in school.

Changi Airport is having a collaboration to Pokemon and there are three adorable life-sized Snorlax soft toys in Terminal 2!

As it seems, the flight will be full and chances of getting a change in seats would be close to none.

Christmas tree made from Pokemon plushies!

Once airside, the Pokemon festivities continue. Here, some kids were playing with an AR game.

Not feeling the need for anything else, we headed for our gate which was still closed when we arrived so we waited outside with the other early crowd. It seemed that the load was from a large tour group which was heading on the same flight.

Obligatory shot of my boarding pass.

A view of my bird tonight. I was expecting a newer plane but still have high hopes from other reviews.

Finally, it was time to board for the flight. Boarding by group was strictly enforced as some passengers were turned away when they were not in the group called.

And, we see the plane at the end of the aerobridge!

Turkish newspapers for the passengers.

First view of the seat.

And one with me sitting down. USB connector, coat hook, ethernet port, the lot. Power sockets are located in-between seats.

Close up of the IFE.

And a view of the cabin from my seat.

An 11h 20m flight lay ahead of me.

A wild flight map appears!

The safety video was done in collaboration with Zach King of Vine fame! The magic tricks made the video more entertaining and definitely would catch the attention of even the most nonchalant passenger.

A view of some of the offerings on the flight and the UI of the IFE. The whole system was very user friendly and I liked it alot.

And the seat-back literature.

Since I didn't manage to grab a window seat, I decided to watch Spectre.

After take off and the flight was level, oshiboris were given out. (I wasn't expecting this!)

Followed by the menu.

An hour and a half into the flight, dinner service begins. I chose the pad thai with a beer.

As seen here. The salad and starter were average but the pad thai and desert were great, with a hot bun.

Dinner service was conducted over the Indian Ocean.

Post-dinner service is a small bag of roasted hazelnuts and a bottle of water.

Now it's time for an obligatory visit to the toilet. Clean and well-equipped.

A view of the cabin from the toilets.

Somewhere over India, the lights are dimmed for the passengers to rest.

The cabin crew gave out amenity kits to the passengers. (Sorry, I don't have any pictures of this as I left this flight in a hurry and misplaced it there)

I continued watching movies and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel" seemed like a good movie.

After this, I fell into a deep sleep and woke up quite abit later, missing breakfast as we were almost at our destination. Sorry folks, I couldn't get pictures of breakfast but my friend told me it was fantastic.

Lights on!

Wheel cam after landing.

The disembarkation begins.

And surprise! No aerobridge!

Last view of the plane.

Boarding the bus to the terminal.

And we're in Ataturk!

Nice detailed report! Once again TK shows that they are among the best in Economy class. As usual the catering stands out as being above average. Seems like you had a good flight overall. I would not have such a fond memory if I was in a middle seat for an 11h flight, haha. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your kind words. I was genuinely impressed with the quality of the flight even though it was full. Considering TK for my next trip into Europe.
Thank you very much for sharing this nice FR.
The seat pitch looks a bit tight on that plane, but overall TK Y is a very decent product and little extras like hot oshibori, printed menus and especially an amenity kit are appreciated.
Catering on TK is great as always and the snacks after the meal service are particularly thoughtful. Most airlines if they provide snacks they would be packaged ones. Too bad that you missed breakfast. Hopefully you arrived more rested.
Hello! Thanks for reading my report. TK is an exceptional airline from my experience and I cannot wait for my next flight with them. I was completely knocked out on the flight after the meal! The long sleep certainly helped navigating Ataturk.
Was there also breakfast?
Yes, breakfast was available on this flight. My friend had it and she said it was really good. Too bad I slept through breakfast.
