I took a taxi to Taipei airport from my hotel which took about 20 minutes and I arrived terminal 2 at 8:00am. I went to buy some souvenirs after I got my boarding pass. There was a very long queue in front of the security check, but it didn't really take a long time to get throught . After passing through the immigration, I firstly went to check the gate, which was assigned at D3.

As I reached the gate, our plane was already there. A321 again, B-16213, still in the old livery. With Hello Kitty Music Time B-16311 in the background.

Then I went back to the food court on the 4th floor, which is next to the EVA and SQ lounge. I had a Taiwanese noodle at a stall called 中一食堂

Time to Head back to the gate. Boarding was scheduled at 9:45am and the boarding sequence was according to zone number and I was in Zone 3.

My seat 28K, this time I chose the right side. I noticed that the pattern on the seat cover was a little bit different from the previous flight. Same as the flight from Hong Kong, it was nearly full loading, a Chinese man was sitting next to me. He yelled several times for the newspaper and blanket.

View from aircraft. A Japan Airlines 787, JA833J operated as JA802 to Tokyo Narita.

Push back. There was a slightly delay of 15 minutes.

We took off at 10:45am from RWY05L.

20 Minutes after take-off, a meal was served.

Overhead monitor showing the route.

Entering Hong Kong from the east. High Land Reservoir was visible.

Descending over Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula.

We touch down on RWY07L at 12:16pm. Final parking position at Gate 62. We had a Thai Airways A380, HS-TUE parked next to us, ready for the flight as TG601 to Bangkok.

Thanks for sharing. The meal looks delicious ! Regular and sufficient confort for a short flight , the overhead IFE showing the route are a nice feature.
Great views during the approach in Hong Kong.
It is so rare to have a clear sky in Hong Kong. Great pics.
I can see that Kai Tak runway is still alive.
Thank you for sharing
SKYTEAMCHC: Definitely, EVA Air catering is much better than Cathay Pacific on the same route. (I have never tried China Airlines so no comment)
Indianocean: Clear sky with good visibility. You can see the Kowloon peninsula and the northern part of Hong Kong Island.
