I left home at 3:30pm and took the S-Bahn directly to Munich airport. The Munich airport center had already transformed into a Christmas market. Entering the terminal, I headed to the checkin counter to get my boarding pass. There was a small queue at the counter but it didn't take a long time to wait.

Having my boarding pass on hand, I went through the security check and air-sided in no time. My flight will be departing at gate number K09, which implied that I had to take the automated people mover to the satellite terminal.

At the satellite terminal, I immediately checked where the gate was. I noticed that my plane was not there yet and the monitor indicated the flight will be delayed until 19:10pm. This flight was operated by Helvetic airways on behalf of Lufthansa, therefore it carried a Lufthansa flight number, LH2372. Since there were some times until boarding, I went to the central plaza and brought myself a sandwich.

It seemed that the delay was due to late inbound of the aircraft. Eventually our aircraft shown up at 18:30. HB-JVR, a five years old E190, only flies between Munich and Zurich. At 19:00pm, boarding started and the cabin crew distributed snack at the entrance door of the aircraft. My seat was 17F which enabled me to see the winglet of E190 perfectly. My seat mate was a business man. The loading was quite full and almost all the seats were occupied. While all passengers boarded the plane, captain announced that there will be another delayed due to the froggy weather in Munich. Looking out of the window, you could hardly see anything such as the main terminal behind.

At 19:53pm, plane finally took off in the mist and the visibility was getting better as we flew through the mist. Flight time was expected to be 40 minutes.

Soon after the seat belt sign was off, the cabin crew started the drink service and I opted for orange juice.

Seat pocket items included Lufthansa magazine.

Plane commenced the descend very soon, and we landed on RWY14. During taxing, I spotted the Face of Swiss, which will bring me to Hong Kong a few hours later. My aircraft finally parked at Gate A09 and I deplaned quickly.

Thanks for reading!
Welcome and thanks for this first FR.
I didn't know Helvetic flew for LH.
Classic and compact service for this short flight.
Thank you for your comment.
I wasn't aware that as well. I think we can find more information on Wikipedia.
