Welcome to this flight report BA912 from Heathrow to Frankfurt!
After having spent some beautiful days in London I went back home to Germany with British Airways.
I arrived around 2,5 hours before departue at the Underground Station of Terminal 5 and went quite quickly through security checks after having some kind of quarrel with the check-in machine - they apparently don't accept ID Cards…
There was enough time for supper (of which I made some photos, but unfortunately those are broken - I decided for a japanese ramen soup). You really got a great view on the apron from the restaurant!

G-BNWZ should take off to Stockholm in a few minutes…she's obviously running a bit late

Boarding took place on time - today we'll get to Frankfurt with G-EUYR, which had its first flight in November 2013. This aircraft is equipped with sharklets as you easily can see from row 23:

The cabin looked pretty new despite some few signs of use…it seemed as a small packet of milk exploded just nearby my seat on the flight before ;) (but I missed to take a photo of that)

Legroom was enough for this short flight

Loading of the cargo hold is nearly over…

Just as it happened on the flight before in Frankfurt we went all the way down to the other end of the airport - and went in a rather large queue.
A BA 747 taking off

…and some moments later a B777 of Air New Zealand in All-Black livery rushing down the runway…

…and some other planes later on we were No 1 in the queue…some drops of rain :-/

Bye Bye Heathrow, we'll meet again someday

Our A320 climbed up to 35000 feet…

…meanwhile drinks and snacks were served by the very friendly cabin crew. Today I took lemon biscuits instead of crisps - also a good choice :)

Here you can see the Main River while approaching to Frankfurt Airport, which can be seen in the background.

Bankfurt, as we call it ;)

The unexceptional landing took place on runway 25L and a bus took us to Terminal 2. I had to hurry up a bit then in order to catch my train to Karlsruhe so I couldn't do any photos of Frankfurt Airport
Thanks for sharing the return segment with us Marvin!
I've had issues with BA check-in kiosks too, last time through they wouldn't read my passport.
Another nice read, the new BA A320s with sharklets look pretty good, nice that they are finally replacing their older A319s. Nice catch of the All Blacks heading back to LAX.
Doesn't LH offer more in the catering department? I would have thought LH would provide a cold sandwich on a flight of this length.
Thank You for your comment!
I also got in mind that LH offers better catering for flights of that length. Last time on LH (FRA-EDI) they offered a bread roll with cheese. However many others don't offer any free catering nowadays :-/
