Welcome to my second flight report, this time on Ryanair.
My first time on Ryanair in two years, I always wanted to go to Cologne so this was the perfect opportunity when I found day trip flights for around £30 return. On Sunday the 7th of August
we set off to Stansted as we were going to stay in the Premier Inn Hotel for only £50.
The hotel was horrible, I found a Tuna Nicoise in the bin, the toilet had poo stains on it, the sink wouldn't go down - we were then moved rooms, the bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. I finally got to sleep at around 3 am - bearing in mind I needed to be up at 6 am for a 7.40 flight. I was very tired throughout the trip all thanks to Premier Inn. I sent off a complaint the day after the trip but no one has since responded.
But after all of that drama, we took the shuttle bus to Stansted Airport. As we had put on fast track security and priority boarding, everything went very smoothly and we were through within no time we were in the departure lounge.
We went for a hot Giraffe breakfast which was very nice and it set us in good stead for the day - it woke me up as well :P
The gate appeared and showed us that we needed to take the transit - the view was great!

We got to the gate just in time - the priority boarding was just starting so we quickly got in line, went down the stairs and then were on the tarmac.

My seat was 3F, a bit too far from the engine for me but hey-ho.

We pushed from stand on schedule and made a very short taxi over to RWY 22 and quickly lifted off, the views were amazing so here are a few pictures.

The OB service started, I purchased a water.

Ryanair have changed their hideous Yellow board and replaced it with this:

We made a smooth landing in to Cologne and got the on time jingle played out to us.
We docked on stand and got off via the front stairs.

Thanks for watching.
Nice pics, especially the 1st pic with the Ryanair tails lined up. There may be a little bit less yellow in the cabin, but the yellow on the seatback still hurts my eyes, lol. 30GBP roundtrip is a great price, although having to pay for a hotel may offset that a bit. And yuck...sorry about the bad hotel experience. BTW, what is a hot giraffe? Haha.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, glad you liked the first pic - my favourite to be honest. Yeah, the Ryanair cabin is not for me. Too much yellow! All in all the trip price for the flight and hotel was £79 which worked out well. Yeah, that Premier Inn was terrible! Giraffe is a restaurant that you have at airports and I had a cooked breakfast :)
Thank you for sharing this FR with us!
I'm sorry to hear about the hotel experience :(.
That first picture is amazing! You got a fantastic shot of your ride as well.
Beautiful aerial shots!
A nice quickie with Ryanair.
Have a good one, see you!
Hey thanks a lot!
Yep the Premier Inn Stansted is one to avoid :P
