This was a connecting flight to get on Turkish, from YUL to IST. There are many AC flights every day from YVR to both Toronto and Montreal, but not all of them are the Airbus variety with the international cabin in business. For example, the Australian flight comes through Vancouver each day before continuing to Toronto. That's generally a better (more comfortable) business class flight than the many 767-300 craft going direct. The domestic lounge at YVR used to be the Canadian/CP Air lounge, so it's large, with a lot of natural light, and as domestic lounges go, very well laid out with decent amenities. In fact, I prefer it to the smaller international lounge. A morning flight serves breakfast, which is really nothing to write home about. But the space and comfort of business makes up for the so-so catering. AC has, though, one of the best in flight entertainment systems.
